The glass doors of the shopping Mall slid open as Nivedita practically dragged Vikram Das through the sprawling entrance, her fingers clamped firmly around his forearm.
"Come fast, Das! This is going to be so much fun! I already saw the latest collection on their Insta!" she squealed with excitement.
Vikram trudged behind her like a soldier going to war, dressed in a plain dark grey shirt, black jeans, and old sneakers, looking hilariously out of place in the upscale, designer-heavy crowd.
Heads turned as they passed—a radiant, stylish girl pulling along a rugged, brooding man who looked like he'd be more comfortable in a shooting range than in a shopping mall.
