Lu Hanbing's grip on Fu Yan's wrist was tight as he dragged him down the hallway towards his study. Fu Yan could feel his pulse quickening, his anger bubbling up under the surface but he held it in, knowing that now was not the time to lose control. Not yet.
With a sharp click, the door was shut behind them.
They stood a few feet apart, glaring at each other with a raw hatred. Fu Yan's jaw clenched so tightly that his teeth ached. His fist curled and uncurled at his sides as if he barely contained the urge to swing at the man in front of him. His eyes burned with jealousy and disgust, and he knew, he could see the same emotions reflected in Lu Hanbing's cold, calculating gaze.
' How the hell could Hirvan like a person like him?'
Fu Yan's mind was baffled by it. He could not understand, how Hirvan with his gentle nature and soft heart could have any kind of history with someone like Lu Hanbing, a man who radiated control, manipulation and something darker beneath the surface.
