In Hirvan's room, Elian tapped his fingers against the wooden table, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he watched his son's grumpy face.
"Let's talk about this marriage proposal," Elian spoke, he folded his hands in front of him, his expression turning serious.
" If you want to Fu Yan step forward and take back his demand, I think it's better to announce your identity sooner. That way, I am sure rows of proposals will flood our house."
Hirvan looked up from his sulking position, his brows furrowing deeply.
"Wouldn't that just make Fu Yan more anxious to push forward the marriage talk?"
Hirvan asked, his tone laced with confusion.
"You think so?" Elian smirked.
"With more competition, Fu Yan would feel like a fish out of water. That's when I step in, playing the bad guy. I'll tell him you have to achieve first something significant, and until then, I wouldn't approve of him or anyone else, for that matter. I could even claim I am searching for a more suitable son-in-law."
