'As I expected, they die.' Alex thought after hearing Leonda's vile words. It was to be expected that whatever tradition was carried on in this family would not be an honourable one.
"Do you have any questions?" Leonda asked, the twisted glee behind her shining eyes on full display.
"Many," Alex replied dully.
"Great." Leonda clapped, turning to the stiff man who apparently controlled the bound figures. "Remove their binds," she commanded. The man instantly complied. Their restraints, and even the cloths covering them head to toe, were violently ripped away, hovering to the grey-eyed man, who disposed of them out of Alex's sight.
