All the ninjas from Kusagakure were annihilated by ten members of Anbu, simply because they couldn't discern the situation clearly. Blinded by greed, they failed to recognize the vast difference in strength between themselves and Konoha's Anbu.
"Report to the Commander. The ninjas of Kusagakure have been dealt with!"
"Speed up the dismantling process!" Uchiha Fugaku commanded.
"Yes, sir!"
Under the efforts of nearly a hundred ninjas, the entire floating fortress was disassembled into various parts within an hour and sealed inside scrolls.
"Is everything packed up?" Uchiha Fugaku asked.
"All packed up!"
Everyone responded in unison.
Within a radius of one kilometer from where they stood, the ground had been scoured ten inches deep. Not a single part was overlooked; even the soil was sealed into the scrolls.
"Good, back to Konoha!"
No sooner had Uchiha Fugaku and the Anbu left than the ninjas from Iwagakure found the place, only to discover nothing but barren black soil.
