The news of the unknown creature that attacked the lord of the Land of Fire in the Land of Rain had spread throughout the entire village of Konoha; the residents gossiped about it leisurely after meals, seemingly indifferent to the matter.
However, inside the Hokage building, Haruno Sakura had Shikaku call Kakashi's team to gather. Naruto and Sasuke arrived, while Karin, who had been assigned as the Hokage's secretary, joined the team temporarily.
"You've heard about what happened to the lord of the Land of Fire, haven't you?"
"Heard about it," Naruto nodded, "So, are we going to go and teach that lord of the Land of Fire a lesson?"
"No."
Sakura's expression was more serious.
"According to the Anbu's investigation, at the place where the lords were meeting, many guards who had their chakra completely drained were found dead, reduced to mummified corpses; rumors are it's a monster that can suck people dry."
