Ao Yun served tea to the old Heavenly Master and said, "Venerable Taoist, please."
The old Heavenly Master felt apprehensive, "Thank you, Second King, I am not worthy of such honor to be prefixed with 'old'; truly, it is undeserved."
The woman before him, although she appeared to be in the bloom of youth, might be hundreds or even thousands of years old; how could he presume to be her elder?
"Venerable Taoist, there's no need to be apprehensive. I belong to the dragon race, blessed with long life, whereas you, being human, have but a hundred years or so. At one hundred and fifteen, you indeed merit the address of Venerable Taoist," Ao Yun explained.
Ao Yun laughed, "When our king walks in the mortal realm, upon encountering an elder, if they are a farmer in the fields, he will respectfully call them old uncle or old man; if upon an old teacher, then elderly sir is the term used."
