"Third Master, it's so dark outside. Can we really find any mushrooms?" Gu Jiu asked.
"We were never going to find any," Gu Yuheng replied indifferently.
It was winter, and though there were mushrooms in the mountains during winter, they were scarce. Flipping over the entire mountain might yield less than ten, not to mention filling a whole basket.
"If we can't find any mushrooms, what will you use to fulfill the task later on?"
"After sunrise, go ask around to see who cultivates mushrooms and buy a basketful," he instructed.
"If that's the case, why are we even climbing the mountain?" Couldn't we just wait for daylight and buy them?
Gu Jiu was even more confused.
"Climbing the mountain is part of the mission." Lin Qingze simply wanted to make his days challenging, so he purposely used it as an excuse to get him up early and climb the mountain.
He didn't mind, taking it as a form of physical exercise.
