Dr. Sun looked at Lin Yao standing before him, a hint of astonishment flashing in his eyes.
He tried to embrace Lin Yao but she deftly sidestepped him.
Seeing the slight change in his expression, Lin Yao said with a smile, "Didn't you ask me to come and assist you?"
With her expression in check, she then spoke, "Dr. Sun! Aren't you supposed to be working?"
Dr. Sun chuckled and, indeed, obediently went to his desk to start handling his work.
Seeing that he was no longer pestering her, Lin Yao took a long breath of relief.
Her eyes roamed restlessly, surveying the office and plotting her escape route in her mind.
She quietly moved around the office, incessantly scanning every corner.
Suddenly, she stopped in front of a sanatorium map on the wall, scrutinizing each and every corner, engraving it deeply into her memory.
Lin Yao didn't dare linger too long in front of the map, and feeling that she had memorized it well enough, she left the spot.
