Shattered like glass, that's all we are.

Pieces scattered. Stretched too far.

I tried to hold, I tried to mend.

But love like ours was bound to end.

You smiled, I froze, my hand reached out.

The warmth of life turned into doubt.

A fleeting touch, a fatal kiss.

Now just a memory.

Like a star that burned out.

Too fast, too bright.

I didn't mean to, it wasn't my fault!

But now he's gone.

And I'm still here.

With this endless, empty heart.

Why is life so cruel?

Her bittersweet voice lingered in the air, the words of her poem carried an eerie beauty that seemed to match the platinum pink of her eyes. She sat precariously on a balcony, her legs dangling freely on the edge.

Despite its origin and true meaning, it was still a beautiful poem.

The girl held the appearance of a teenager with long pink hair tied in twin tails. She had a petite figure and wore her usual black robe over a suit, its hem was embroidered with the insignia of the Sovereign State.
