The building that looked like a small two storey building was actually bigger inside, the interior of the building would have fascinated David, but the things happening inside the base was rather chaotic.
There are about eleven people inside, each doing their own things, three guys were busy fighting one another using their magic, one was using fire magic, creating fireball that he fired towards the other using earth magic to create shield to defend against the fireball attack while the last was using lightning, also fighting against the earth user.
A man was sleeping on the floor, he looked drunk, despite sleeping, his right hand holding the bottle was still moving, lifting the half emptied bottle to his mouth.
At the left corner of the room a lady was busy drawing, her drawing looked beautiful, but what she was drawing looked hilarious in it own way, she drawing herself in a shining golden knight armour, she sat on a horse also dressed in armour but, there are flowers at the top of the horse head as if wearing a crown. Surrounding her was countless men, not a single woman or child in the painting, only men whose eyes were filled with infatuation, they only praised her but not near her.
The lady had a look of appreciation in her eyes as well as.... smugness.
"Wow this drawing is beautiful." A young lady at the age of seventeen said as she looked her the drawing.
"As expected of Senior Samine." Another lady of the same age as the first one said as she looked at the drawing with admiration in her eyes.
"What's so great about that drawing, all I see is a woman overly obsessed that she's perfect." A young man said with a rough tone, not liking a bit about the lady drew.
The last two are busy learning mana control for beginners at another side of the room, with the older one that looked to be a young man in his early twenties and a young girl that looked to be thirteen, the student.
Each extremely focused on what they were doing without noticing that David and the man are already in the building.
David was amazed by what he saw, despite inheriting Davies memories, it wasn't everytime that Davies could witness magic been performed in front of him. That was the reason despite knowing everything about the magic world, he was fascinated by what he just witnessed.
But it was such a pity that he didn't have a single mana in him. Him being magicless can't perform what he was witnessing, so despite his earlier determination, he was still shaken as he didn't know whether he would be able to do something like this one day.
The man beside David walked and cleared his throat, but no one reacted.
Annoyance filled his face instantly as he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath and reopen them fiercely, he opened his mouth and roared as he said
"ALL YOU DUMB BUFFOONS!!!!!!."
All of them looked shocked as they hurriedly stood on their feet, even the sleeping drunken man hurriedly staggered on his feet and unintentionally used the bottle that he was holding to hit his head.
The others winced when they saw what happened to the drunken man but no one rushed to help him, even the drunken man looked fine as he staggered to join the line with the others.
They saluted as they roared loudly
"WELCOME BACK CAPTAIN.!"
"I left you guys for only two days and you are already Slacking."
The man name was Cidar, the captain of Dark Moon, a notorious team that worked under the king, known for taking in good for nothing also the team with the poorest resources and lowest team members.
Cidar looked at his team members, and saw the look of laziness in their eyes, an idea came to his mind in order to vanquished the laziness from his team members.
Just thinking about it made him released an evil smile, which them cringed all over their bodies, even David, who just knows who was the man that took him here, the unrestrained lion, that even the king has to choose his words carefully before him in order not to angered him.
"Every one of you, as from tomorrow have to run round the mountain at the west without stopping until you complete ten rounds, do you understand?"
The Dark Moon team members were shaking from what they heard, they knew that their captain doesn't take no for an answer, they could only cursed their luck.
'I might as well just die today and end it all ' that was what they were thinking
"Except for Katie." The captain continued.
Katie was the girl at the age of thirteen.
Immediately, look of envy appeared on their face as they thought 'why am I not a little kid also?'
In this world, once you are sixteen, you are already an adult.
The little girl, Katie, breathe out a sign of relief, but soon it changed into shock later
"Katie, you are to fetch water from the well into the two drum in the house, without using your magic." Cidar said.
Katie felt aggreived as she thought 'can't you say everything at once instead of one by one. As expected, captain can never be nice.'
One of the team members noticed David, it was Samine, who was drawing the other time.
"Captain, who's this little one?" She asked.
Cidar looked at David and introduced him to the others "this is Davies, from the house of the Sylvester."
"WHAT!!!!"
"Sir, do you mean the useless young master from the house of the Sylvester?" The guy using fire magic earlier said, his name is Alnos.
David became irritated when he heard Alnos called him useless.
Cidar pretended not to hear that and continued "from now on, he's going to be with us, cleaning up the house."
David ear pricked when he heard what Cidar said.
