Shrugging off the ephemeral shadows that I hallucinated, I continue cataloguing the weapons. Tina asks, "Why do we have all of these again? In case the Consortium attacks?"
Athena shakes her head, brushing back her black hair. "It is not a matter of destructive weapons, young one."
Tina persists. "But don't the original owners of these weapons and crowns and eggs and other objects want them?"
Athena wrinkles her forehead. "Some of them do not, but others have stored them here for safekeeping. Even the Celestial Realms are not safe from theft."
I nod. "Just ask my dear nephew Sun Wukong, who stole Laozi's pills. Ironically, we ended up with Laozi's spear here in the collection."
Tina stares at the sharp spear. The tip looks as hard as a diamond, and the shaft is a massive smooth length of wood with what looks like handprints burned into it. I can hear a faint humming from the display case.
Tina asks, "How did we end up with it?"
