Lu Chenyuan received a message from Anna, and his eyes darkened for a moment.
Lin Wanzhi expertly cut her steak with knife and fork. "I thought you would ask me to discuss things at the office, I didn't expect you to invite me for a meal."
Lin Wanzhi's face was brimming with a smiling expression, not knowing whether Lu Chenyuan was, perhaps, trying to apologize for last night's incident by inviting her to this Western meal.

"I didn't have lunch, and there wasn't enough time to go back to the office—there's no other implication."
Lu Chenyuan's explanation caused Lin Wanzhi's smile to suddenly vanish.
"Chenyuan, what are your thoughts? You need to trust my judgment; I never make a bad deal," Lin Wanzhi regained her smile.
"Let's hold off for now," Lu Chenyuan gave his response.
Lin Wanzhi stiffened, "Can you give me a reason? Chenyuan, don't you trust me?"
