"Eat this?" Ou held a half-eaten donut with his tiny fingers covered in frosting.
Chenyuan took it, looked at the deformed donut Ou had pinched, and refused, "If you can't eat it, throw it away. I won't eat it."
Ou felt it was a bit of a waste. He still had an IV needle on the back of his hand, which made moving difficult.
He clumsily took out the donut's packaging bag from his little backpack and placed the leftovers inside.
"We shouldn't waste. The farmers work very hard to grow crops. We need to save food. You never know how hard each grain on your plate had to work."
Chenyuan frowned, Ou's attempt to show off his literary skills was not very successful, he corrected, "It should be 'You never know how much hardship each grain on your plate went through.'"
Ou smiled awkwardly. Isn't it more or less the same?
Chenyuan took out a handkerchief and helped wipe Ou's hands since they were sticky and definitely uncomfortable.
