Fu Yubai had his arms crossed and a furrowed brow as he watched Lu Chenyuan approaching with alcohol in hand.
He's usually hard to pin down, but today he's showing up on his own initiative.
"Kicked out by your wife?"
Lu Chenyuan didn't deny it, "What about your girlfriend?"
Lu Chenyuan couldn't recall the name of Fu Yubai's girlfriend; there were just too many to keep track of.
"Been a bit tired lately, even mules need a break, had a fight?"
The less Lu Chenyuan wanted to talk about it, the more Fu Yubai steered the conversation that way.
"No fight, just differing opinions. Came out to cool off a bit. It's normal to have disputes over trivial matters when living together."
Fu Yubai chuckled, detecting a hint of an old married couple in Lu Chenyuan's words.
Lu Chenyuan tossed a can of beer to Fu Yubai.
Catching it, Fu Yubai asked, "Since when did you switch to beer?"
Lu Chenyuan replied, "Got sick of wine and spirits. Just changing it up."
