Chapter 455 - Worth Saving?

Just from what Ging saw, many Chimera Ants died under Lan's gun.

There were really all kinds of species, which opened his eyes a little.

However, as Lan made his move, Ging discovered the extraordinary gun in his hand.

Compared with the mutated Chimera Ants, the special weapon in Lan's hand made him more interested. He wasn't the type to take what belonged to others by force. Instead, he simply planned to borrow it for a closer look once their extermination mission was over.

"Crocodile, cheetah, mermaid, mouse, wolf..."

Lan took a quick inventory and concluded that this outing was fruitful.

Not only had he wiped out several squadron leaders who had pledged allegiance to the Ant King, but he had also eliminated other notable threats, such as the Ortho Siblings, who used their dart-throwing abilities to cause serious harm to Killua. There is also Welfin, who can fire missiles that can create centipedes in the human body, and the ever-reckless Cheetu, who had met the same fate as the others.

All of them were killed by Lan with one shot.

As for Welfin, he had managed to survive the final battle as a somewhat redeemable character.

However, even in his human life, he had been a subordinate of Gyro and had committed numerous crimes in the Neo-Green Life (NGL) Autonomous Region.

After becoming a Chimera Ant, he continued his atrocities, consuming numerous humans just like Leol.

Lan felt that simply killing Welfin with a single bullet was too lenient a punishment.

As for Cheetu, his fate had been sealed the moment he encountered Lan. With his reckless nature, he had eagerly attempted to challenge Lan to a fight.

The result?

Before Cheetu could even lift a foot to charge forward, Lan raised his gun and shot him.

One shot, one kill.

Facing such a guy, there is no need to have too much nonsense with him.

He should be sent to the road directly, without any hesitation.

"In this case, most of the Chimera Ants have been solved, but there is still a small group left..."

Lan looked in a certain direction.

"Is it the group of scorpions and spiders?"

Ging also knew which group Lan was talking about and followed his gaze:

"They seem to be smarter than the others. After witnessing the massacre of their kind, they've already started fleeing in panic."

"Truly intelligent Chimera Ants wouldn't have left their nest in the first place."

"Any ant that ran out was nothing more than a fool blinded by ambition."

"Creatures like that will meet a tragic end, whether I kill them or not."

Ging Freecss nodded slightly in agreement.

Let's not talk about the Chimera Ants that were killed by Lan and escaped.

Just the remaining Chimera Ants, the scorpions, and spiders that were fleeing in panic.

The direction they are currently fleeing seems to be towards the direction of the Kakin Empire.

Incidentally, the Kakin Empire wasn't exactly a peaceful place at the moment.

The royal family was currently clashing with the Phantom Troupe, and both sides were locked in a fierce battle.

To make matters worse, Beyond Netero was lurking in the shadow, observing the chaos unfold.

If this group of Chimera Ants breaks into the Kakin Empire at a time like this…

Well, they could only pray for their own survival.

Lan also knew the direction in which this group of Chimera Ants would flee, so he was too lazy to continue chasing them.

Anyway, the original ending of the group of ants, including Zazan and Pike, was that they were easily killed by the Phantom Troupe on Meteor City.

Now that they had essentially delivered themselves and run to the Kakin Empire...

The Phantom Troupe, the Kakin Royal Family, Beyond Netero, etc., have gathered together, and the current situation is very lively.

If they can survive safely, they will be lucky.

Not to mention that Zazan had ambitions of establishing her own kingdom.

They have already shown extreme signs of death. Lan figured he had just saved himself a few bullets.

Now, onto the next task…

"The Chairman and the others will be here soon, right?"

Lan looked at the Chimera Ant nest not far away: "They should accept the surrender of the Chimera Ant and invite doctors and experts in this field to come and treat the Chimera Ant Queen."

"The Queen has most likely lost her ability to reproduce, and according to you, her life force is already incredibly weak..."

Ging touched his chin: "If you were in charge, how high do you think her survival chances would be?"

"Such a life force is basically equivalent to a dead person, and it's basically the same as passing away."

Lan shrugged slightly.

"But..."

Ging looked at him: "If you wanted to pull her back from the brink of death, it wouldn't be too difficult for you, would it?"

"The same could be said for you, couldn't it?"

Lan smiled in return.

Given Ging's abilities, he remained completely unfazed even when Gon suffered the extreme consequences of his vow in the original timeline. That alone suggested that Ging had access to powerful healing methods.

If he could handle something as severe as that, then a dying Chimera Ant Queen should be trivial in comparison.

The real question was, was she even worth saving?

"Let's check out the nest first."

Ging Freecss did not comment: "I am more interested in the ecological environment where they live."

So many Chimera Ants had gathered in one place, and many of them had even learned Nen.

Without a doubt, the nest would still house some fiercely loyal ants who had refused to abandon the Queen.

And those could make for very interesting research subjects.
