It looks like Li Susu's plan was working. I know she did this to make sure that her enemies would have no choice but to agree with Pei Qin's request to reopen Lady Song Yue's death case. What a cunning woman.
"Minister Pei, make sure to find the truth. Make sure you will take this case with no bias. Therefore, I shall grant the court's request to reopen Lady Song Yue's death case," I remarked.
"Understood, Your Highness," Pei Qin replied.
The other ministers look at me with their meaningful and doubtful glances. My father was mostly surprised because of this twist of turns. Minister Bai Xuan stays in the middle.
"Did you have any more concerns, Minister Bai?" I ask.
He bows his head and looks at me in the eyes after. "Your Highness, I want to report about the current flooding situation in two provinces. We have to address this problem and make solutions to control the flood that destroys the crops in Liang and Yong provinces," he reported.
