Pei Qin's POV
Yang Hua noticed that I've been restless since this morning after I arrived home from the court meeting.
She made me a delicious lunch and now a snack in the afternoon. "I apologize if I look restless in your eyes, Hua'er," I whispered, sipping some tea.
She takes a seat and pours some on her cup as well. "Would it be bad if I asked what bothers you, milord?" she asks. I look at her and smile.
"Of course. The empress trusted you, and so I am. I know she won't get mad if I share my worries with you," I remarked.
I told her what happened during the court meeting. She looks worried as well.
"That's really a problem, milord. The enemies were trying to control the empress again," she pauses.
She put down her cup and looked at me in the eyes.
"They knew that the three of you are unbeatable and a great asset for her reformation plans. They want her to lose the courage that she has now. This is a perilous situation," Hua'er commented.
