I sneak out again as I always do. My husband was busy in his office. That's why I took that chance to leave using the secret passage instead of leaving through the main gate. I also heard that he summoned the royal consorts. I was riding the previous Emperor's horse.
He seems to know who I am. He was one of the fastest horses inside the palace. I am using my male alter ego, Li Cheng. I want to speak with Su Ming Xi. I want to know if they're preparing their wedding pretty well. I will also check Song Jialun.
I grabbed the leash and pulled it up, telling my horse to stop. I was already in the market when an old man was being stoned by children.
"Stop that, everyone!" I roared.
The children look at me, and they run away. I jump off the horse and walks closer to where the man is. His head was bleeding, and he was full of bruises. He also stinks. He bows his head.
"Thank you, my lord," he says. I grab his arms and hold him up.
