Chapter 239 - Night Market Massacre

Meanwhile, in a humble apartment building.

A middle-aged woman with chestnut hair and pale yellow eyes stepped out of her apartment.

She locked the door behind her before combing her hair back and turning around to leave.

Once she reached outside, she looked up to the night sky and found the stars blinking at her. But as she was about to return the stars' greeting with a warm smile, she sneezed. Sniffling her nose, she sighed and headed for the nearest pharmacy, a block away.

"Hope this will help me get better quickly," the woman peeked at the plastic bag in her hand.

Inside was a flu medicine.

Feeling the chilling night air through her coat, she rubbed her arms and quickly headed back.

She doesn't seem like she was good at handling the cold or even the night itself.

Upon making a turn onto her street, she paused as her stomach growled.

"Should I stop by the night market?" the woman contemplated. "I'm feeling chicken soup, tonight,"
