Jeon Arin POV (Point Of View)
'Our Anniversary'
I stared at the notification that popped on my phone with no emotion, "Oh, it's today?" It's I and Min ho's anniversary. I sat on my bed, 'Would he even remember?' I thought to myself. Just then, my phone buzzed with a notification.
"Happy Anniversary."
It was a text message from Min ho. My heart fluttered at the text,
Me:
You remembered?
Min ho:
Had to.
Although his reply was brief, I still felt happy reading it, "At least he remembered." I got out of bed and went downstairs and my mum seemed to have noticed my happy mood. "Did you have a good night?"
"Today is my anniversary." I said with a smile. My mum's smile dropped, "Oh, well did he..." "And he remembered." I finished, cutting her off. My mum's smile returned, "Oh, that's good news then. Are you guys going anyway today?"
I shook my head, "Maybe I should discuss it with him." My mum nodded in agreement and I went back to my room. My phone rang with a call, 'Is it Min ho?' I thought in excitement. I looked at the screen and Chaeyoung's name was written on the screen.
I rolled my eyes, and picked the call, "What is it?" "Oh well good morning to you too." Chaeyoung said with sass. "Okay good morning. What is it?" "You wouldn't believe the information I just discovered." Chaeyoung said with excitement.
"What? It better be something sensible." I said with a huff. "It's about Jiseo." My ears piqued with interest, "What about her?" "But before I tell you, just know that stalking is a criminal offense." Chaeyoung quickly said.
"Are you going to tell me or not?" I rolled my eyes. "She works at a restaurant as a waitress." "What?!" I said in shock. "Yeah, and it's not even a 5-star restaurant. It's pretty okay but why would someone like her be working in a restaurant as a waitress?" Chaeyoung asked.
I stayed silent for a bit, my eyebrow meeting in confusion before I let out a scoff, "Maybe she isn't who she made us believe."
Chaeyoung hummed, "Maybe." "I need you to text me the location of the restaurant." I said, quickly walking to my bathroom. "Okay." I hung up and I got ready. A few minutes later, I heard on my door while I was applying my eyeliner.
"Who is it?" I said, not taking my attention from my vanity mirror. A maid entered, and with a bow she said, "Mister Kim has arrived and your mum told me to inform you." Hearing that, a smile appeared on my face.
"Okay, I'll be down shortly." I said to the maid and she bowed before she left the room. I looked at my reflection and got up and went downstairs to meet my mum conversing with Min Ho. "Hi." I said to Min ho. I got a curt nod in reply, 'I'll try not to expect anything from him today just because it's our anniversary.' I said to myself.
"Should we be on our way?" He asked. I nodded and we both said our goodbyes to my mother and went down to the car and Min ho helped me with my door and I got in the car. I felt butterflies in my belly at his actions.
I quickly reminded myself not to get my hopes up because he is just doing this cause of our anniversary. "Okay, so where are we heading?" Min ho spoke up as he started up the car. I looked at the text Chaeyoung sent to me and I inputted the location on Min ho's car navigation.
'That's strange, why did the restaurant's location pop up before I finished typing it in?' I said to myself and looked at Min ho suspiciously. "Are you done?" Min ho said, raising a brow at me. "Oh, yes." I stuttered and sat back on my seat.
We drove to the restaurant and it looked like Min ho didn't really need the navigations 'Could he be that he knows she works there?' I said to myself, feeling doubtful. We got to the restaurant and Min ho parked the car and we got down, "You want to eat here?" He asked me with a raised brow.
"Yes. Any problem?" He stared at me for a bit before replying, "No, it's just that this isn't your style." I nodded, "Yes it's not but I decided to try new things out of my comfort zone." I said convincingly. He nodded and we got into the restaurant.
"Good morning, welcome to..." Her voice trailed off when her eyes landed on me. I smirked with satisfaction, 'Gotcha.' I said inwardly. "Eh, Jiseo? What are you doing here?" I said in feign shock. "I work here." She replied pointing to her name tag.
"But why?" I said turning to Min ho who didn't look shocked, it was like he knew that she worked here. "Let's go have a seat." He said dragging me to a chair.
Kim Min Ho POV (Point Of View)
I pulled out a seat for Arin and she sat down, "She works here? Don't you find that weird? An Alpha, working in a place like this?" She said in surprise. I looked at her incredulously, "Did you know she worked here?"
"No, I just found out." She replied shaking her head. "I didn't know that you fancied places like this sis." I heard Taemin's voice and I looked away from Arin's face and glanced at him. "Taemin? What are you doing here?" Arin said in factual shock, unlike how she sounded earlier.
Taemin raised his hand to his name tag, "Are you blind?" He turned to me with a mischievous glint in his eyes, "You brought her here for your anniversary? Why?" "She wanted to come here." I answered, moving my attention back to Arin.
"Eh? She wanted to come here? On her own accord?" Taemin said with a teasing grin. Arin rolled her eyes at his words, "I'm trying out new things and stepping out of my comfort zone." After hearing that, Taemin busted into fits of laughter.
"Hey hey, Min ho did you hear her? She wants to step out of her 'comfort zone'." I suppressed my laughter. "That's the funniest thing I have heard all week." Taemin said, his laugh dying down. "Hey Min Taemin! Are you going to take their order or keep playing around?" Ji seo yelled from the counter.
Taemin rolled his eyes, "Alright alright, I'll take their orders." I looked at Jiseo, 'Is she doing well?' I said to myself. "Okay, so what would you like to order?" "What's today's special?" Arin asked. Taemin sighed and looked at me to explain, "We will just have jollof rice with fried chicken please." Taemin nodded and scribbled it down.
"Your order will be ready in 5 minutes." He said before he went to the counter. I noticed Arin looking around the restaurant with disgust, "If you were going to be like this then maybe you shouldn't have suggested that we should come here."
"I was just looking at the decor. It's nice." She said with a smile. I looked at Ji seo's direction and watched her work, 'Is she supposed to work today? I wonder if she is doing okay.'
Lee Ji seo POV (Point Of View)
I got Min ho's and Arin's order ready and gave it to Taemin, "Okay, go give this to them." "Why?"He asked in confusion. "Because I don't want to see her face." I replied. "Who? Arin?" I nodded and he chuckled in amusement.
"Okay, but you owe me one." I rolled my eyes, "Fine. Now go." Something tells me that I'm going to regret saying that but future me will deal with that. He gently took their food off the counter and walked to their table. I sighed in relief and Ha ri came up to me with Dae.
"Why is she here?" She said while giving Arin a stink eye. "Taemin told me that she said that she wanted to step out of her comfort zone so she came here." I replied then playfully shielded her eyes, preventing her from glaring at Arin.
"So where are you guys heading?" I said wiggling my eyebrows. Ha ri glared at me while blushing furiously, "Where we're going next is none of your business." She replied, pushing Dae away. I raised a brow and she mouthed to me, "I'll tell you everything later."
I mouthed an okay and they walked out, not before Ha ri gave Arin one last glare and a quick hello to Min ho before walking out. I chuckled and shook my head at her behaviour. "Arin will soon go crazy." Taemin said walking to me.
"Uh?" I said, confused. "She thinks the whole school came here and she's afraid that she'll be caught eating in this place." Taemin chuckled. "Can we get a drink over here?" Arin yelled in our direction. We both rolled our eyes, "Her boyfriend didn't order a drink so why is she shouting?" Taemin said under his breath.
"I'll go attend to them." I said before taking my notepad and walking over to their table, "What would you like to drink?" "Are you okay?" Min ho spoke up, his voice laced with concern. I looked at him, confused, before replying, "Huh?"
"Are you feeling okay? You came to work today." He said, his voice laced with concern. I nodded my head and I felt a pair of eyes glaring at me. I already knew who it was anyways. I turned to her, "Would you like anything to drink?" I said in my customer service voice.
"I would like a Giesen 0% Sauvignon blanc wine please" She spoke up. I looked at her in confusion, "A what?" "You didn't get that? I said I would like to drink A Giesen 0% Sauvignon blanc wine." She repeated.
I turned to Min ho for help, "Just get us two bottles of Sprite. Thank you." He said looking at Arin in disbelief. I nodded and went to go get their drinks and I overheard Arin ask Min ho why he ordered a bottle of Sprite.
"Don't you know the type of restaurant you came to? Why are you ordering an expensive wine?" I almost laughed at his words. I got their drinks and I placed them in front of the couple, "Here are your drinks."
"Thanks." Min ho said and when I was about to walk away, I heard a crash behind me. I looked behind me and I saw a broken plate of food on the floor, "Ah, I'm so sorry Ji seo." Arin said with a gasp.
Taemin rushed next to me, "What's going on?" He asked me before looking at the broken plate of food on the floor and looked at Arin, "Why did you do this?" "It was an accident." Arin said looking bored.
"Clean it up." Taemin said looking pissed. "What?!" Arin yelled. H er behaviour caught the customers attention and they all looked our way. Minutes later my grandma rushed to us, "What's going on here?"
"Who are you?" Arin said rudely. Min ho stood up in annoyance, "That's enough Arin. I apologise for her behaviour, we are going to clean this mess up." He apologised to my grandmother. "Why should we clean up? We are the ones being served after all."
"You're causing a scene Arin." I said, starting to get annoyed. She stood up in anger, "I'm causing a scene? I'm causing a scene?!" "Hey! How dare you speak to Mrs Lee's granddaughter like that!!" One of our customers who comes here often, yelled out.
"Granddaughter?" Arin said confused. "Yes, she's my granddaughter and I'm the owner of this restaurant who you spoke rudely to earlier." My grandmother finally spoke up. "You come here, stirring up unnecessary drama." She said before turning to Min ho, "You, why did you bring her here?"
"She wanted to come here to eat so I brought her. I'm sorry for the scene she caused." Min ho apologised, "We will... I will clean this mess up." He said looking apologetic. "Wait, you know her?" Arin said in shock and only got a cold look from Min ho. My grandma sighed, "Don't bother yourself, Jiseo will clean it up."
I almost got a whiplash from the way I turned to her sharply, "Huh? Me? Why me?" I said with my eyes almost popping out of my sockets. Taemin laughed at my situation and I swear I saw Arin's lips lift into a slight smirk.
"Sorry for the trouble we caused." Min ho bowed in apology. My grandma sighed, "No problem, just get her out of here before she breaks another thing." My grandma said glaring at Arin who looked dumbfounded.
Min ho bowed one last time before grabbing Arin's hand and took her out of the restaurant. "Can you please clean this up Jiseo? Thank you very much." My grandma said with a smile before walking back into the kitchen.
I stood there staring at the broken plate of food and with a sigh, Taemin handed me a broom and he received a harsh glare from me, "Drama-ma-ma-ma, with my girls in the back, girls in the back, drama." He sang.
"Shut up." I hushed him in anger. He laughed at my misfortune and touched the rim of my glasses, "Calm down angry bird." He said with a mischievous smile and went to take a mop to help me clean up, "Why did she order food if she was just going to waste it like this?" Taemin said sounding annoyed.
"If she wanted to get some kind of revenge on me, then she should have used another method, and not waste food. Can you believe that she asked me for an expensive bottle of wine?" I ranted. "What wine?" Taemin asked, holding back a smirk. "I don't remember but it sounded expensive." I said with furrowed brows and that earned me a hearty laughter from Taemin and it sounded like music to my ears.
'Wait, WHAT?!' I yelled inwardly.
