Nemean curled up tighter, burying his head in his paws. His mind was a mess—he didn't know what to do.

He heard the soft voice of the cat but ignored it, pretending not to care.
"Leave me alone," he muttered.
Nymira tilted her head. "Is that really what you want? To be alone?" Nemean didn't respond. His tail flicked slightly, but he kept his face hidden.
"Master probably has another reason for not killing you," Nymira continued. "You hurt his mother. Even if your master begged, you shouldn't have been saved."
She casually licked her paw, acting just like a normal cat. Nemean peeked at her and felt a flicker of annoyance.
"Why are you even here?! If you're not going to say anything useful, just leave me alone!" he snapped.
Nymira didn't react to his rudeness. She simply stretched and glanced toward the kitchen, where Seojun was making his coffee. The sound of the cup clinking against the counter filled the room.
