Raising an eyebrow slightly, Yao Ran nodded at Wu Lian and smiled, "Captain Wu, long time no see."
Wu Lian glanced at Long Yu and the others, smiled, and then asked, "Miss Yao, may I speak with you privately?"
Yao Ran nodded and walked up to him. Standing before Wu Lian, she asked, "Captain Wu, do you need something from me?"
Wu Lian reached into his backpack, pulling out an old book. He extended it toward her and replied, "This is a gift from an old friend. Please open it when you are alone."
Yao Ran took the book, running her fingers over its worn cover. After a moment of contemplation, she replied, "Alright. Thank you, Captain Wu, for delivering this to me."
Wu Lian studied her expression for a moment before saying, "My task is complete. I will be leaving now. Miss Yao, take care."
Without waiting for a response, he turned and walked away.
