Chapter 241 - Chapter 241: The Ruler of All Oceans!

On the island—

Team Magma and the League were still clashing, and the battle between Dylan, Steven, and Cynthia raged on.

But there was no denying it—Steven and Cynthia's combined strength was formidable. With Dylan only using 'Aizen's' Pokémon, it was becoming difficult for him to hold his ground against both of them.

Honchkrow and Cofagrigus had already fallen under the relentless assault of Garchomp and Metagross, though Dylan had managed to have Hydreigon severely injure Cynthia's Togekiss in return.

Now, he had to send out Bisharp and Grimmsnarl—two of the Dark-type Pokémon he had raised later on.

He couldn't use his widely known multi-type powerhouses, or it would be too easy for people to connect 'Aizen' to his real identity.

Fortunately, he had trained many Pokémon, giving him plenty of options.

After all, 'Aizen' was supposed to be a Dark- and Ghost-type specialist—because, well, those types just fit the villain aesthetic.

"Aizen, stop struggling. You're not our match."

Steven withdrew his battered Aggron and addressed Dylan solemnly.

The battle hadn't gone on for too long, yet Aizen's strength had exceeded expectations.

Despite fighting against two Champions at once and having fewer Pokémon, Dylan was still holding his own.

However, Steven couldn't afford to drag this out any longer.

"I underestimated you two." Dylan adjusted his glasses with a faint smile.

"I must admit, the two of you are indeed strong. But… you've lost."

His lips curled slightly.

Beneath his feet, he could already feel the tremors.

"Steven, something's wrong."

Cynthia had noticed the unnatural shaking of the island—it was growing more intense.

"No way…" Steven's expression darkened, and he immediately leaped onto Metagross.

From the cave, Maxie rushed out—his face pale with shock and disbelief.

And then—

A deep, earth-shaking roar erupted from underground.

Scorching, molten lava surged from behind the mountain, spilling out in a fiery cascade.

And within this scene of overwhelming heat and destruction—

A colossal red Pokémon emerged from the magma, stepping forward with slow, imposing strides.

Its sheer presence was monumental.

Its body was massive, covered in what seemed like molten red armor, with lava-like orange cracks glowing between the seams. The Ω symbol gleamed on the plating of its arms.

This was Groudon.

No—Primal Groudon!

"ROOOOAR!!"

Primal Groudon lifted its head and bellowed into the sky.

Instantly, the storm clouds above vanished, replaced by an unbearably blazing sun.

The sunlight was so intense that it was almost blinding.

This was Desolate Land—Primal Groudon's ability!

"Groudon has awakened!"

Steven stared grimly at the overwhelming presence of Primal Groudon.

In the end, they had failed to stop Team Magma.

If not for Aizen, he and Cynthia could have stopped Maxie!

"ROOOOAR!!"

Primal Groudon let out another deafening roar, its mouth glowing with an intense, white-hot energy.

Not good!

Steven's heart clenched.

A blinding white beam of solar energy erupted from Primal Groudon's mouth—

A Solar Beam—but powered by Desolate Land!

BOOOOOOM!!

A series of devastating explosions rocked the air as the beam struck a distant island, completely obliterating it.

Fierce shockwaves and blazing heat rippled outward, almost blowing away both Team Magma and League members.

And when the smoke cleared—

The once rugged, uneven terrain of the small island no longer existed.

It had been completely erased.

Primal Groudon then lifted its head and began walking forward.

With each step, magma oozed from its body, hardening into black rock, forming a new path beneath its feet.

Primal Groudon's power was terrifying—it expelled energy in the form of magma, creating land with every step it took.

"Where is it going?!"

Steven's mind raced.

Just from that one Solar Beam, it was clear that this ancient Pokémon's strength was far beyond what they had imagined!

But—Primal Groudon seemed to be heading somewhere specific.

"It's going to meet an 'old friend,' of course."

Dylan, still seated atop Hydreigon, smirked.

"Primal Kyogre must have awakened as well."

"Impossible! Wallace and Gym Leader Dylan will stop Team Aqua! Your plan won't succeed!"

Steven declared firmly.

He believed in his close friend and in Dylan—the trainer chosen by Reshiram!

Wallace aside, Dylan should be able to defeat Zinnia.

And if Dylan could hold off Zinnia, then Archie wouldn't stand a chance against Wallace.

"Oh? Mr. Steven, you sound quite confident." Dylan chuckled softly.

"But I won't be staying here to find out."

He had to see this.

Primal Groudon had awakened—now it was time to witness the next act.

Hydreigon soared high into the sky, carrying Dylan away.

Below, as Dylan withdrew, Courtney swept her gaze across the battlefield.

Her eyes landed on Maxie—who stood there, stunned and shaken.

Her delicate brows furrowed.

So, the boss failed to control Groudon.

How disappointing.

She had originally joined Team Magma because she was interested in Maxie.

But now?

After everything—after all of Team Magma's efforts—it all came down to this?

At the very last moment, their leader had failed.

Courtney took a step back.

Maxie isn't worth following anymore.

She turned and ran, slipping away unnoticed to the other side of the island.

There, she released her Swellow—and took off into the sky.

"Aizen!!"

Steven clenched his fists.

He wanted to stop Dylan—but he knew it was impossible.

Then—

Beep, beep!

His communicator rang.

The moment he answered, his expression changed.

The Ocean Awakens

Dark, violent storm clouds stretched endlessly across the sky.

Under the effect of Primordial Sea, the entire world was drowning in torrential rain.

Wallace had captured the remaining members of Team Aqua and was on a submarine heading back to shore.

At that moment—Archie's communicator rang.

"Hello? Boss, it's Matt."

On an island far away, the burly Team Aqua Admin stared blankly at the scene before him.

"Hahaha! How is it, Matt? How's the outside world looking?"

Though captured, Archie was still ecstatic—

Nothing else mattered.

As long as his ideal world came to life, he didn't care about anything else!

"No, Boss… It's bad. We're finished."

Matt's face twitched, his voice trembling as he stared at the massive waterspouts tearing across the ocean.

The blackened sky.

The chaotic, raging sea.

"Primal Kyogre is going to flood the entire world—

"Nothing will be left."

Silence.

Inside the submarine, Archie was stunned.

The submarine surfaced near an island, and Wallace's team disembarked.

"This…"

Lillie, bracing against the storm, stood frozen in awe.

Before her—

Towering waterspouts spiraled across the sea.

In the sky above, Primal Kyogre hovered, its massive wings outstretched.

Under the blackened heavens, the scene was both terrifying and awe-inspiring.

The ocean had fully awakened.

Waves crashed violently, the sounds of the raging sea endless.

The sheer scale of this apocalyptic storm was unfathomable.

The Primordial Sea had completely overtaken the world.

Primal Kyogre's golden, soulless eyes gazed down at the ocean, its massive, glowing form weaving through the colossal waterspouts.

It was like—

A god.

Or a demon.

"This is way too insane…!"

Leaf was utterly stunned.

Was this the overwhelming power of the ancient legendary Pokémon, Primal Kyogre?

"This is all your fault!"

Wallace bit his lip. He, too, was in complete shock—but his disbelief was quickly replaced by burning fury as he turned toward the pale-faced Archie.

"H-How… how did it come to this…?"

Archie could hardly believe it himself.

He had wanted a world with more oceans, but not… this.

Not a world sinking entirely into the sea—an Atlantis lost beneath the waves.

His body felt weak, drained of all strength. Slowly, he collapsed onto his knees, staring blankly at the unstoppable Primal Kyogre, still unleashing its power in the skies above.

Kyogre…

"Officer Jenny! Contact everyone immediately—Sootopolis City and Slateport City must be fully evacuated!"

"Understood, Champion! Evacuation is already underway, but we've received reports that the storm has already reached the Weather Institute—and it's still expanding rapidly!"

Officer Jenny wiped rain from her face, her voice serious.

"It's already reached the Weather Institute?!"

Lillie gasped.

The Weather Institute was near Fortree City—far past Slateport!

That meant the storm's expansion was unbelievably fast.

"Of course it's fast. This is Primal Kyogre's ability—Primordial Sea."

A voice suddenly cut in.

"Brother?!"

Lillie turned in surprise, spotting Dylan smiling at her with a nod.

Yes—after changing clothes, Dylan had teleported back with Mew.

At the same time, Leaf had quickly used Ditto to disguise herself as a regular League staff member.

With Zoroark's Illusion Ability, the deception had gone off perfectly.

"Gym Leader Dylan, what do you mean by Primordial Sea?"

Wallace blinked in confusion.

Wasn't Kyogre's ability just Drizzle?

"Kyogre's normal form has Drizzle. But in its Primal Reversion state, its ability changes to Primordial Sea."

Dylan's blue eyes gleamed as he gazed at Primal Kyogre amidst the towering waterspouts.

"Primal Kyogre is like the sovereign ruler of all oceans—the undisputed king of the seas among legendary Pokémon."

"Its ability, Primordial Sea, exists to fulfill that role. If left unchecked, given enough time, Primal Kyogre's storms will eventually spread across the entire world… and submerge everything beneath the ocean."

Dylan spoke calmly, but his words carried a terrifying weight.

This wasn't an exaggeration.

Kyogre and Groudon were among the few Pokémon with the power to bring about the end of the world.

Primordial Sea and Desolate Land—these two abilities alone were far too dangerous.

Of course…

Drowning the entire world wouldn't be instantaneous—it would take time.

And besides…

Even if Primal Kyogre wanted to drown the planet, it wouldn't get away with it.

Forget Rayquaza—the other legendary Pokémon wouldn't just stand by and watch.

After all, Hoenn wasn't the only region in the world.

If Primordial Sea truly spiraled out of control, Dylan had no doubt the Original One would descend from the Hall of Origin to put an end to it.

And it wasn't just Arceus.

There were plenty of legendary Pokémon that lived on land—Zygarde, Zacian, Zamazenta, Calyrex, and more.

If their territories were threatened… would they just move underwater?

No chance.

"Hisss…!"

Wallace took a sharp breath.

He wasn't sure if everything Dylan said was true, but Dylan wasn't the type to lie about something this serious.

And then—

Dylan pulled out his Rotom Phone and scanned Primal Kyogre.

Beep!

Kyogre (Primal Reversion Form) – Water-type, Sea Basin Pokémon.

Ability: Primordial SeaMoves: Water Spout, Origin Pulse, Double-Edge, Hydro Cannon, Aqua Ring, Sheer Cold, Liquid Tail…

Pokédex Entry: In mythology, it is said to have expanded the seas by summoning torrential rain and giant waves. After a fierce battle with Groudon, it fell into a deep slumber.

"What kind of Pokédex is that? How does it even have Kyogre's data?"

Wallace was stunned.

Kyogre hadn't been seen for a thousand years—so how did a Pokédex already contain its information?

Did Professor Birch manage to predict the future or something?!

"I manually inputted my knowledge of legendary Pokémon into my Rotom Phone."

Dylan smiled.

"So this is a personal collection of information."

"As expected of Gym Leader Dylan—so knowledgeable!"

Wallace looked at him in admiration.

As a Lurian, even he didn't have this level of insight into Kyogre's nature.

But Dylan… knew so much.

How?

"So what do we do now? How do we stop Primal Kyogre?"

Lillie asked anxiously.

"First, put this on. I don't want you catching a cold."

Dylan took a raincoat from his bag and wrapped it around her.

Getting drenched in this storm wasn't an option.

"Primal Kyogre's strength is on another level. And besides…"

Dylan turned his gaze to the horizon.

Through the rain, the sky was gradually growing brighter.

"Primal Groudon is here."

"The battle between land and sea is about to begin."

At that same moment—

Amidst the raging storm, Primal Kyogre's golden eyes flickered sharply.

It had already sensed it.

That familiar presence.

"OOOOOHHH…!"

A deep, thunderous cry echoed through the sky.

Primal Kyogre unfurled its massive wings and surged forward.

It knew.

It knew.

That land-crawling fool had awakened.

This time—

It would end it.
