Qin Ying sat absently in her office, bored, unable to focus on computer games because she was missing someone.
"Where on earth has Ye Chen gone? It's been three days. Why hasn't he shown up yet?"
Ye Chen hadn't appeared for three days, which was driving Qin Ying crazy with worry.
Every day after work, Qin Ying would rush outside the police station, hoping to catch a glimpse of Ye Chen, longing for the man to come looking for her.
But Ye Chen had left and not returned, leaving Qin Ying anxious and distraught every day.
The prolonged absence of Ye Chen was beginning to scare Qin Ying. Their acquaintance was brief; their feelings not deeply rooted. She feared terribly that Ye Chen may have cold-heartedly abandoned her and would never come back.
"Ye Chen, you're not answering your phone, you're not showing up, where on earth are you?"
Qin Ying doodled with a pen on her book, her mind filled with thoughts of Ye Chen.
