Su Chen was taken aback when he heard what Xia Qiuru said; he had not expected that she would suggest he accompany her back home for the New Year.
"If you find it troublesome, just pretend I never mentioned it."
Seeing that Su Chen didn't respond right away, Xia Qiuru quickly added:
"I know it might be a bit much to ask, sorry."
"It's okay, I've been missing your parents too. I'll accompany you back for a day or two. I think I can still squeeze out some time then."
Su Chen said with a casual smile on his face.
Actually, Xia Qiuru's request was quite problematic for him, after all, going home with another woman during the New Year was indeed a bit over the line for a married man.
If any other woman had made such a request, he would have flatly refused. If Lin Ruoxue found out, it would be no laughing matter.
But with Xia Qiuru, he found it hard to refuse, or perhaps, deep down, he didn't want to refuse...
