The Engineer carefully connected the freed data chip to his large terminal. Text scrolled rapidly as Naia was still catching her private thoughts from the effort of breaking the stasis field. Seeing the man's fingers fly across the interface, the woman massaged her throat and tapped a command on her own.
A spherical lozenge was dispensed from within her helmet and she let it sooth her voice. She hated that she was using one so quickly into the mission, but it was only now that she realized just how hard she had been humming here and there to better direct the energies.
