After careful consideration, Ye Wutian decided to change direction and head north, which would allow them to bypass the territory of the Seven Fiend Sect.
Following Ye Wutian's command, Little Qi changed direction and dashed northward, while Ning Kuan continued his relentless pursuit from behind.
After crossing a stretch of flat grassland, a forest appeared ahead – a good sign for Ye Wutian. As long as they entered the forest, they could use the trees as cover to shake off Ning Kuan.
Ning Kuan seemed to have anticipated this, and mysteriously increased his speed tremendously, quickly closing the distance to within a hundred meters in just a few breaths.
Seeing this, cold sweat broke out on Ye Wutian's forehead. Fortunately, Ning Kuan's burst of speed was only momentary. After closing in to about a hundred meters, his pace slowed down again, eventually matching that of Little Qi.
