After sitting in the medicinal pond for a short while, Ye Wutian began to feel a tingling numbness in his body. Continuing this way for another two days would likely result in the condition Gao Yunjiao had described: his flesh would become numb, and he would be impervious to bladed and pointed weapons.
Although being immune to bladed and pointed weapons was an incredibly useful ability, if his entire body became numb, wouldn't he just become a walking corpse?
Regrettably, the current situation did not leave him any choice. Even if he were to be refined into a poisoned corpse, he was powerless to resist.
And so, he soaked in the medicine pit for a day, until nightfall, when Gao Yunjiao left the cave. Ye Wutian didn't continue to sit in the medicine pit. He got up, clambered out of the pit, and felt soreness and numbness in his lower body—he wasn't sure if this was because of the medicine's effect or because he had been sitting too long.
