"Capone, I'm sorry, I didn't keep an eye on the young lady." Christina leaned in, pretending to explain. "Ah, luckily it was just wine that stained the dress. It's okay, the hotel boutique has dresses. I'll tell them to send a few sets over for the ladies to use as a quick fix."
Capone furrowed his brow, seeking Sophia's opinion. Sophia didn't want to cause any trouble, but the satin fabric of her dress was soaked with wine, clinging to her skin. It was uncomfortable and unattractive. Since she and Capone couldn't leave early tonight, it seemed she had no choice but to change into something else.
Christina volunteered to accompany the other ladies whose dresses were ruined to the lounge upstairs to change.
Sophia had originally worn a dress with regular undergarments, not having prepared the adhesive bras usually needed for evening gowns. So when she took off her dress, she had no choice but to remove her undergarments as well and put on the adhesive bras again.
