Capone's embrace was always the most timely. Noticing her unease, he held her almost the entire night.
The next morning, they woke up early. Capone entrusted Laura to Antony and a temporary high-class nanny. "Laura wants to take a boat ride, right? Let Uncle Xie and Auntie take you. Would that be okay?"
"What about Mommy and Daddy?" Laura wasn't insisting on sticking to them, but she was curious about where they were going alone.
"Daddy has to go with Mommy to a place, but we'll pick you up later and go out for some delicious food!"
Even Sophia didn't know where Capone was taking her, until they stopped in front of a hospital.
"What are we doing here? Is someone sick?"
Capone shook his head and took her hand. "No one's sick. We're just meeting with an expert to help remove the scars on your back and chest."
Upon hearing that, Sophia felt every pore on her body tighten.
"W-What?" she stammered.
"Don't be afraid. It's a very small procedure. It won't hurt."
