With the addition of 5 young gods and goddesses into the family, the parents spent a few days taking turns carrying them. Undine and Night Silver switched daily who carried around 3 of the children and who carried 2. Each having their own specialty cradle made for this moment. The design made it rather easy to carry around the children while working. Though the work was made easier, the pair of mother deities limited their excretion to teaching magic at the school, and making rounds of the town checking in on all of the new developments.
It wasn't just the two goddesses walking around with the baby hampers, it was over 60% of the women in the town. 30% of the women were still pregnant by this time, the remaining 10% of the women in the town were either newly come of age during the last few months and actively looking for a mate, or they were still trying to conceive.
Here in this town, it would usually be confusing to say one unilateral age, why? Well, the mix of races causes a bit of confusion in that regard. So there is a separate age for each of the races and additional changes made to fit the mold of any mixture therein. Humans in this world generally had assumed that the age of 15 was an adult however, after Night Silver appeared and made some additional changes… This age was redefined to be 18 for humans. Elves were a little different though, they grew significantly slower than humans and thus theirs was the age of 100. Dwarves had a much lower age than that of elves sitting at 25. This usually caused some issues with childhood friends and all. Afterall, some elves would still not reach the age by the time their friends die of old age. A sad, but inevitable fate that longevity granted them.
One day, several weeks after the birth of both Night Silver's and Undine's children, they were sitting in a class teaching about the traits of each race to some of the older children. When a young, soon to be of age, elven man timidly raised his hand.
"Hmm? Do you have a question darling? Go ahead and ask me." Night Silver said, with a heart warming smile, while Earra and Samhra were feeding.
"Mother, I… What do we do if we have feelings for someone we grew up with but we can't… You know, do that because of our growth?" The Young man asked, a little sheepishly.
The rest of the class started to giggle as a result. They had a feeling they knew the answer. For that matter everyone already did. But that wasn't the real reason they were laughing. No, it was because the person who really had the question was one of the human girls sitting next to him.
"Pfft, you're a good boy aren't you." Night Silver giggled with a bright smile. "Perhaps we should make this a bit more vague… Or maybe…" She murmured to herself.
"Don't worry about such things too much. I'm sure that if there really is a deep connection there will always be a way." Undine answered, speaking up since she knew this was really a question for her. "Humans aren't condemned to only live a short life. Take care of yourself and live healthily. And over time the lifespan will increase." She explained, which gave away the reasons for so many of the other lessons they were taught.
"That's right. And with all of these lessons, and living together, you'll naturally make adjustments. Remember, there's no need to rush for these beautiful bundles of joy. Focus on yourselves first. You'll find your way to making a happy life for yourselves but only if you follow your heart, and care for all those around you." Night Silver added, making eye contact with the girl who really wanted to know the answer.
The day ended with a few more hopeful faces. It was actually more common to have cross race relationships at this point. Though, there were still plenty of those who opted to retain relationships with those of their own race. Neither choice was pushed, nor frowned upon.
Elsewhere, the three dragons of the town; Brightness Dragon Lord, Frayrsis, and Moigit were all training with each other. Each made small gradual improvements in their strength. Though small, they were clearly noticeable. Brightness also made it a point to beat the transformation spell into his two younger brothers.
It was a peaceful place, where the people could live freely. Free of the terror of the Dragon Lords, free of the monsters, and free of the dangers in the wild. This sense of freedom led to many cultural changes and rapid development. In just a single year's time there were already a handful of druids, each capable of freely casting up to Tier 2 spells. And with that it led to a higher sense of security in the health of the people.
After that year, Night Silver and Undine were laying in their bed, their children laying closest to them, all snuggled up. That wasn't all though, there were the rest of the children from the town playing around in Night Silver's home, of course all within the view of her and Undine.
"Sister… The people seem to be quite happy lately. I haven't seen a woman in our town that wasn't either pregnant, breastfeeding, or both…" Undine commented, noting the unusual nature.
"I know, it's great isn't it? It sort of makes me want another one as well." Night Silver giggled warmly, tenderly kissing Undine. "And my sorta, I mean I really want another one. What do you think?"
"I think you've read my mind, Sil. Next time Brighty is around we're going to make sure he doesn't get away easily."
"Oh, I don't think it will be that hard to get him to give us another baby."
"Mommy!" 5 voices called out, and the sound of wings beating the air filled the immediate area.
"Yes, that means you're going to be big sisters. Telam is already a big brother, so nothing will change with him." Night Silver giggled, rubbing Telam's head.
"Mommy!"
"Pfft, sorry, sorry, you're just so cute when you pout like that. Here, have some milk." Night Silver smiled, picking Telam up and began drinking.
"Sister, It's not fair! You still can still produce! That's it once he comes home this time I don't care how tired he is." A wild smirk appeared on Undine's face.
