Setting off, Night Silver made sure to give all of her babies a hug, kiss, and some words to give them comfort while she was away. This was more for herself, than it was for the children, a selfish action, however, there wasn't a single one among them that would dare not indulge in the last thing she gave them.
She ran along the ground, taking note of the sights around her. If I hadn't fully adapted to this new life, I may have struggled to perceive these wonderful sights. Especially at this pace. It feels great, nature is… It's happy, like it's accepting me. This is a beautiful forest. She continued her time in the forest, taking in all of the sights she could. Stopping only when she saw something new.
A few days of traveling through the forest, She had seen virtually everything in the forest. And came to a small waterfall, with a natural basin beneath it flowing into a river. Oh, this would be a perfect place to clean myself off. She undressed herself, and some of the woodland creatures came over to help. Instead a young squirrel and bird were just disappointed.
"Awe, you two came to watch over me. So cute, come here."
The squirrel climbed up Night Silver's arm, and the bird flapped their wings, landing on her shoulder. And then she walked into the water, her walk was perfect, sensational, and beautiful. The water itself struggled to reflect such perfection back, almost crying once it realized it was unable to.
She giggled, lifting some water in the palms of her hands, scoping it out. "There's no need to cry, I'm just happy I can take a bath again. I'm not a fan of smelling bad." The water splashed her face, and a little splashed the two pretty creatures on her shoulders.
She absolutely loved baths, so much so that she would cheerfully indulge in them, and reluctantly get out. It was something rooted deep within her being. As she was washing herself, she helped clean the bird and squirrel off. The two baby creatures' reactions were so adorable that she couldn't help but smile warmly as she did.
What she didn't realize though, was that the waterfall had a cave, with people hiding in it. Or did she?
A boy and girl came out, looking around, and then they saw her… A perfect beauty, bathing in the water. The boy was speechless, and the girl gulped.
After a few moments of watching, the girl smiled as if there was something warming her from inside. "She's so pretty!" The girl covered her mouth, realizing that she said that a little too loud.
Night Silver giggled. "Don't worry, children. I don't mind if you join me. You look like you could use a bath."
The girl pulled off her rags and jumped into the water. Something about this woman makes me want to trust her. She's strong too. She reached the woman, and received the warmth of a hug.
The boy ran back into the cave, calling for help. Meanwhile…
Night Silver conjured a stone to lift from the small lake's floor and used it as a seat for the girl. "There, this should help you stay afloat. Now, let's wash your hair. You're a girl, you should get to feel pretty. It's really a shame, you've got such beautiful hair." And so, Night Silver pulled a comb out of her inventory, and started to clean the girl's hair.
The girl was so surprised by the magic she just witnessed, she couldn't help but ask. "Was that magic?" Her eyes widened with intrigue.
"That's right. I'm what is called a druid. I use the power of nature to defend myself, and all of my people."
"It's so cool! Can I learn it too?"
"Well, it's not easy to learn. And not everyone has the talent to learn it. But I don't see why you wouldn't be able to give it a try."
The girl's smile matched her eyes, she was now incredibly happy, and excited. "Yay! So where did you come from, beautiful lady?"
"A place called, Tus Nadair. It is a small nation I built with the help of my wife, and my husband. Along with the efforts of all the wonderful men, women, and children that call it home."
The girl was really excited. "Really!" Then she realized she didn't know what that meant. "A nation? What's that?"
"Pfft, you're adorable." Night Silver said, applying a natural shampoo she could make with magic. "A nation, in simple terms, is just a large enough group of people, with a place they can call home, together. They don't need to move around in search of shelter, they build it for themselves."
"Really! They build their own shelter? That's…" She started kicking in her excitement. "So cool!"
It was around this time that, the rest of the people in their wandering tribe had come out from the cave. It wasn't a large group, and there were clear signs of injuries, and losses among them. They wore looks that gave away what they thought might happen to the girl. Instead, they saw what was an incomprehensible sight to them.
"What? She's fine? Boy, didn't you say there was a monster here?"
Night Silver giggled, putting a hand to her lips. "Pfft, I'm no monster. Though, such a mistake makes me curious, are there some sort of women shaped monsters?"
"Actually, there are, a monster that exclusively targets… Men… Huh…" One of the wanderers relaxed.
"Finally realized that I'm just a woman."
"Well, you're definitely not ordinary. But nature doesn't feel like a monster is around. Which is an extremely distinct sensation. Though I have a question, why aren't you covering your chest like other women?"
"Well, that's because a woman's bosom isn't actually something that needs to be hidden. And, any discomfort from exposing it, is instantly overcome by the feeling of freedom it brings. Now, before we talk further, get in and wash up."
With a brief moment of pause, the people eventually jumped in, the women first in because of their lack of fear, and a familiar feeling towards Night Silver. The men jumped in next. It didn't take long to get everyone cleaned up. And after a short while, Night Silver had made arrangements to guide the others back to Tus Nadair. Fae creatures were incredibly helpful in this regard. And then she continued her journey.
