Chapter 231 - Chapter 229: Postwar Treatment

Aleph did not continue delving into that thought. The fall of an Aeon occurs rarely. It could be seen in this explored universe. One Amber Era equates between seventy to two hundred years in Earths' time. It is currently 2157 AE, a full five hundred thousand years since the calendar was written.

Even the 'youngest' Aeon was around two thousand years old. The amount of preparations and meticulous schemes they could think of was nothing short of unimaginable.

"It's better to accumulate achievements instead."

He muttered as he closed the five pop-ups one by one.

The backlogs did not end there, however.

There are four other major achievements accumulated during and after Aleph's fight against the Cocoon.

[Finality, Unleashed: Confront the Cocoon of Finality head-on.]

[Time Repeats Itself: Successfully influence the Cocoon of Finality to a large degree.]

[These Nine Days will be…: Regain consciousness after a period of fatal injuries.]

[Terminated: Contact with the most mysterious Aeon, Terminus, for the first time.]

If the previous rewards were fulfilling enough, none could be said for the batch this time.

[Finality's Authority: Obtain the Cocoon of Finality's authority over time.]

[Divine Weapon (Upgrade Chance): Grants the chance of upgrading a selected weapon into a complex information weapon.]

[Sequence Zero True God Authority — Door: The authority lying at the end of the Door Pathway.]

[Ein S… A swift glance allows Aleph to see two completely different authorities rewarded to him.

"Finality… It's useful. I could merge it with Kurumi's. Then… the Door Pathway…"

It was something he got by…

"...Isn't this the continuation of Wandering..? No wonder…"

Aleph let out a pun before proceeding to read the other rewards.

"The upgrade chance gives me a ready-made divine weapon. I should think this over first."

Finally…

"Hm..?"

A sense of deja vu swept over Aleph.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

There were only three major achievements. An incredulous feeling swept over him.

'Isn't there… four?'

He looked at the achievements again.

[Finality, Unleashed]

[Time Repeats Itself]

[These Nine Days Will Be…]

"Hm..?"

Aleph briefly froze. This sensation felt extremely familiar. Yet, he could not pinpoint what it was.

{Reminder. An influx of complex information emerged out of thin air. It is estimated to be perceptible to those bearing the complexity of an Aeon…}

"Aeon… Ah!"

There was one scenario similar to this. It was the time he earned the [Singularity] achievement. It 'erased' itself due to reasons unknown. Only when Aleph became stronger did the Achievement Hunter open it up again.

Aleph frowned at the thought of it.

"What kind of achievement did I gain… and what reward did I miss?"

He felt the uncomfortable feeling of being subjected to this kind of manipulation. By now, he knew that the Achievement Hunter would not arbitrarily harm him. This only means that the Achievement contained complex information that couldn't be handled by the current Aleph.

All of the achievements he gained now possess complex information when gazed at.

"...There's no use musing over it."

The moment Aleph closed the prompts, the hidden achievement flickered. It spat out two words:

[Ein Sof].

The postwar events were settled cleanly. The injured were treated by Fanghu's Realm-Keeping Commission. They are the civil servants responsible for managing the general public and processing legislative issues.

It wasn't just them.

The fleet sent by Luofu and Yuque took the initiative to scout the surroundings before retreating to their respective Flagships. Later on, these flagships communicated with Fanghu.

They assisted with the postwar events such as the destruction of Fanghu, the injured, collateral damages, and the likes.

This was how things were presented to the common populace. The undercurrents of this war's smooth resolution was something that required the attention of three Arbiter-Generals.

The Divine Foresight, Jing Yuan.

The Seiche Queller, Xuanquan.

The Unfettered Sky, Yueyu.

The Arbiter-Generals of Luofu, Fanghu, and Yaoqing held a rare meeting.

"I will say this in advance. The head did not find anything useful on her side."

Jingtian took the initiative to speak. He and Xuanquan were in the same office, given the fact that the latter was Fanghu's Arbiter-General. Their projections appeared like that, while the other two stood individually.

"This is troublesome. Can you deal with it alone? I can come over."

It was Yueyu who spoke. Her long furry ears bore similarities with Aleph's friend, Sakura. Only, it was able to stand straight. The female Arbiter-General was tall. A crystal clear spear could be seen on her back.

The one she spoke to, Xuanquan, shook her head. This female general was just as tall, if not taller, than Yueyu. Her blonde hair and blue eyes would definitely give Aleph a surprise.

After all, she's nothing short of a Durandal expy.

"There's no need. Basic trust should be retained during negotiations. Since he did not do anything against the rules, then let him do as he asked."

"...I am sure the ones above would make a huge fuss."

This time, it was Jing Yuan who spoke.

"That's why we'll give him what he wants… now."

Xuanquan's words caused a knowing smile to form on Jing Yuan's lips.

"That's true. They won't be able to react by the time he arrives there."

The person they were talking about was none other than Aleph. The mysterious Emanator of Nihility only had one wish after he saved Fanghu—to have an audience with the Marshal.

There would be a lot of opposition had they given him the normal due process. Even Emanators of other Paths were no exception.

But then, Jingtian gave a judgement that subverted the Arbiter-Generals' previous thoughts.

"That Emanator is no ordinary. He should be easy to talk to."

Most of the Emanators were influenced by the Aeons they served. They already lost most of their empathy to the mortals. The basic human right on Earth was nothing but a luxury in this vast universe.

Jingtian was not fully certain about his judgement but still chose to speak out for him. The Arbiter-Generals knew about this uncertainty. It was precisely due to it that they reconsidered the treatment that Aleph should receive.

"That's it. I will go and meet him before arranging his meeting with the Marshal. Should he harbor any evil thoughts…"

Xuanquan fell silent before continuing:

"I shall stop him with my life."
