Chapter 1 - **Chapter 1: Get Rid of That Person!**

---

"Hehe, what a joke!"

Dunn Walker was browsing street stalls, planning to buy a pair of cool sunglasses, when he inexplicably got hit on the back of his head with a brick. He didn't expect that when he woke up, he would have changed his identity, body, nationality, and even the time.

It was now the autumn of 1996.

His name was Dunn , Dunn Walker Williams .

He was 18 years old and worked in the film industry. To be precise, he was a production assistant.

To put it bluntly, he was just an errand boy.

However, the badge hanging on his chest gave Dunn Walker a sense of unprecedented sanctity and mission, because the name on it was "Titanic."

"Sigh, I've watched a lot of movies before, but I can't act, I can't direct, and I'm no good at writing scripts. What can I do on this set? I can't run errands for the rest of my life, can I?"

Dunn Walker sighed, shook his head, and walked towards the 20th Century Fox studio.

For the past half-month, the crew had been shooting indoor scenes there.

"Hey, little Dunn Walker, if you don't come soon, Miss Winslet is going to lose her temper!"

As soon as Dunn Walker was spotted, an anxious figure rushed out and grabbed him, dragging him inside without giving him a chance to respond.

Dunn Walker had been reborn for three days and had gained some understanding of the people in the crew.

The person in front of him was named George Paxton, who held the same position as Dunn Walker. It was said that George had been working in the industry for six years and was still at the bottom as a production assistant.

Hollywood was a tough place!

"Come on, George, it's only a quarter past seven. It's not even work time yet," Dunn Walker said irritably.

George smiled bitterly, "In our line of work, there's no such thing as work hours. When the big shots need us, we have to be there."

Dunn Walker shrugged, "Alright, George, but you've got to at least tell me why Miss Winslet is looking for me."

"This..." George hesitated, looking embarrassed.

A trace of suspicion flashed across Dunn Walker's face.

George was on good terms with him, so why was he reluctant to explain?

"Dunn Walker, did you go to Miss Winslet's dressing room yesterday?" George asked in a low, awkward voice.

"Yes, her chair had a problem, so I went to fix it," Dunn Walker replied, frowning, and gave him a glance. "Is there a problem?"

"Did you just fix the chair?"

"Yeah..." Dunn Walker's eyes suddenly widened in surprise. "Did Miss Winslet lose something? It definitely wasn't me!"

George said bitterly, "Lose something? If it were that simple, it would be better."

Dunn Walker's expression finally changed. Something more serious than losing an item? If he got blamed for this, he might even lose his job!

"What's going on?"

George looked around before saying, "Are you sure you didn't do it?"

Dunn Walker, annoyed, said, "Of course not. I don't even know what happened!"

George stared at him for a moment before saying in a low voice, "Someone... tampered with Miss Winslet's underwear!"

"Huh?" Dunn Walker was confused. "What do you mean? Did the wardrobe assistant take it?"

"No..." George hesitated, then sighed, "You'll know when you see it. Just don't admit to anything, whether you did it or not!"

Dunn Walker followed him closely, arriving at Kate Winslet's dressing room.

There, the famous "Rose" sat at the dressing table, while the makeup artist and stylist worked beside her, focused and meticulous.

However, the two female assistants standing behind her had stern expressions, and when they saw Dunn Walker, they glared at him with such hatred that it seemed like their eyes were on fire.

"Miss Winslet, Dunn Walker is here."

George wore a fawning smile, nodding and bowing, trying to curry favor.

Dunn Walker disliked this behavior. After all, they were all human; who was superior to whom? So what if she was the lead actress? Did that give her the right to make false accusations?

"Miss Winslet, is there something you need from me?" Dunn Walker asked, his tone slightly indifferent, which immediately angered her assistant.

"You jerk! I've never seen such a disgusting man as you!" the assistant snapped, barely containing her anger.

Dunn Walker frowned. "Miss, what exactly happened?"

"See for yourself!" the assistant said, pointing to the side. Dunn Walker saw a wrinkled white undergarment hanging on the wall, looking nothing like the intimate clothing of a movie star.

Dunn Walker glanced at her suspiciously, then stepped closer to examine it. He noticed that the inside of the undergarment was crusted with a white substance. Given its wrinkled appearance and Kate Winslet's anger, Dunn Walker's expression changed as he suddenly realized what had happened.

No wonder Kate was furious, and no wonder the assistant was so outraged—this undergarment had been violated!

"Miss Winslet, I swear I didn't do this!" Dunn Walker realized the gravity of the situation and spoke with a heavy, resolute tone.

"If it wasn't you, who else could it be? You were the only one in this room yesterday afternoon!" The assistant was even more enraged at Dunn Walker's denial.

An 18-year-old guy, quite handsome, yet capable of doing something so vile? It was disgusting, perverse!

George smiled apologetically and said cautiously, "Dunn Walker is young, but he has good character. He... he probably wouldn't do something like this, right?"

He did want to speak up for Dunn Walker, but years of being oppressed on set had ingrained a deep-seated reverence for big stars in him.

The assistant was furious. "If it wasn't him, who else could it be? I asked around, and at least three people can testify that he was in this room for a long time yesterday afternoon and looked very pleased when he left!"

"Miss Winslet asked me to fix the chair," Dunn Walker said, frowning, feeling uneasy.

"But I didn't ask you to do anything else!"

Kate Winslet, who had been silent until now, couldn't help but interject.

Dunn Walker took a deep breath and said calmly, "Miss Winslet, I think there's been some misunderstanding here. Since this concerns my innocence, I would like those three people to come here so we can confront each other."

Kate Winslet's face showed a hint of impatience as she coldly replied, "There's no need; let's not make this a bigger issue."

Such incidents are inherently unfair to women.

Especially on a set filled with all kinds of people, a misunderstanding could potentially damage her reputation.

If this had happened at another time, it might not have mattered much—this was Hollywood, after all; what's a little rumor?

But she was different. She was already engaged to British director Jim Treerayton, and they were set to marry once this film was released. A rumor like this at such a time could seriously harm her image.

In truth, she wasn't too concerned about the incident itself. An 18-year-old kid, who hasn't made a small mistake? An apology and a promise to do better, and that would be it. But she hadn't expected Dunn Walker to be so stubborn, denying and arguing.

It was disgusting!

Dunn Walker didn't know what Kate Winslet was thinking; he just knew that his innocence must be preserved. His tone was firm, "I insist!"

"You!"

Kate Winslet was truly angry now. Since this couldn't be handled quietly, then they'd deal with it formally. "Jenny, call Hilda for me and ask her to come over!"

The assistant gave Dunn Walker a pitiful look before leaving to contact Kate Winslet's agent, Hilda Quelly.

Once an agent got involved, the consequences would undoubtedly be severe. Even if Dunn Walker was proven innocent, such insubordination would likely end his career in Hollywood.

It seemed Kate was really upset.

This Dunn Walker—disgusting and perverse, not to mention arrogant and self-righteous. Who did he think he was, daring to talk back to the leading lady?

Dunn Walker remained calm.

Handle it formally?

That would be best.

...

"Cut! That's a wrap!"

With James Cameron's shout, everyone on set breathed a sigh of relief.

A simple dialogue scene at a dining table had taken three hours to shoot!

It wasn't just the crew; even Kate Winslet was parched after delivering her lines and quickly asked her assistant for a glass of water.

Dunn Walker watched from a distance, silently impressed.

The reputation of the "Tyrant of the Set" was certainly well-deserved.

Nearly a hundred people on set, and in front of Cameron, each one was as obedient as a little rabbit.

Just when everyone thought they could relax for a while, James Cameron's angry voice echoed again.

"Mandy! What the hell are you doing? Tell me, what exactly are you doing?" James Cameron yelled, holding a fork and knife from the dining table, his eyes red with rage. "I'm shooting the 1912 Titanic, not a piece of 1996 crap!"

Everyone froze in place, not daring to breathe too loudly.

---

Mandy Clayson, the prop manager, rushed over in a panic. Seeing Cameron's expression, she smiled bitterly, knowing that something had gone wrong.

To save costs, she hadn't specially ordered the forks and knives used on the Titanic in 1912, as such small details would hardly affect the movie.

However, Cameron was obsessive and a perfectionist, especially about details, striving for the utmost perfection.

"Replace them, replace them all!"

Without any hesitation, Cameron made the decision immediately.

The film's producers and assistant directors were all shocked by Cameron's hasty decision.

"Is that really necessary? We've already shot a lot of scenes. If we replace them now, it might cause inconsistencies," Cameron's good friend and one of the producers, Jon Landau, gently advised.

Cameron said firmly, "Then scrap all of it and reshoot!"

"This will cost us at least two million dollars!" Jon Landau said solemnly.

"I'll find a way to cover the missing budget!" Cameron said dismissively. "The task here is to make the movie great!"

Jon Landau looked bitter.

James Cameron's temper was truly terrible, and it had already caused headaches throughout Fox Studios. If they had to ask for more money, there would certainly be another round of disputes within Fox.

At this moment, an assistant came to Cameron's side and whispered, "Miss Winslet's agent is here."

"What for?" Cameron was taken aback.

The assistant replied, "It seems that an assistant on set named Donn upset Miss Winslet."

Cameron was furious. How dare they bother him with such a trivial matter? And worse, how could a lowly set assistant dare to anger his leading actress? No wonder Kate's performance was so off today.

"Give that person an extra week's pay and get rid of them!"
