Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

Alexander's POV,

By the time we were done, he was exhausted and fainted. I pecked his forehead, cleaned him, and took out some comfortable clothes for him to wear. I put on my clothes and went downstairs.

I saw everyone was sitting there, it felt like there was a pack meeting, and I wasn't invited. But the moment they got my scent, they looked at me.

"Did you mark him?" Dad asked.

"Yes, he is sleeping right now. I have my luna," I smiled, a genuine, wide smile, and it seemed to have taken everyone by surprise because I don't smile this way too often.

"We are glad that you found a suitable luna," one of the pack members head.

"I am too.... I am glad that it's him. I don't know if they can see it or not, but I could feel the softness in my eyes when I talk or think about him.

"That's impossible!" Michael's mother said. She stood up from her seat and marched towards me while I stood there, not even flinching. I just kept staring at her.

"This is not his scent!" she said after she sniffed me. I had the urge to roll my eyes, and I did.

"You last saw him when he was eighteen, his scent must have changed by now. His scent has been like this since the day I met him. Rainy and gloomy forest"

"No! His scent has always been fresh and like a forest in spring! This is not my son's scent!" she argued.

"But this has been his scent since the day we met him," one of the pack members said. Everyone except Michael's parents agreed with me.

"That's his scent when he is sad," Michael's father continued. "I once got a hint of his rainy and gloomy forest scent when he was like fourteen or fifteen. He was upset about something and refused to talk about it. But then the next day, his scent was back to normal."

"So, you are saying that our son doesn't like it here?" A small smile crept on her face as she said that.

"I don't know. All I know is that scent of his means he is sad or upset about something." Michael's father shrugged like he didn't care what his son was feeling.

"What's happening?" I heard Michael's voice. Everyone turned their heads to him. I could tell that he is still a bit sleepy. He walked to us and stood between me and his mother.

"What's happening?" he asked once again. He was still in the comfortable clothes I made him wear after he dozed off.

"You don't like it here!" Michael's mother said.

"And what made you think that?"

"Because your rainy and gloomy forest scent means you are sad or upset, according to your father."

"My scent has been like a rainy and gloomy forest ever since I was sixteen. Since that night, since that incident, my scent changed. Thank you for finally noticing, mother," he scoffed. His eyes and words were void of emotions, his eyes were like a black hole.

"You were happy..." Michael's mother said with a surprised expression on her face.

Micheal looked straight into her eyes - with his void of emotions eyes - "I thought a mother is supposed to know when her child is sad or upset, but guess not. After all, my mother willingly gave me to a monster who ruined her child, forever" every word of his was deadpan but at the same time they held so much emotions... What has he been through?

"You had the widest smile on your face when you were alpha...." his mother was surprised, and so was I. Was she that delusional? She left Gen Z behind with her delulu.

Micheal ignored her and looked at my father "I have some things to report you about the patrol and a few more things. I was going to do this yesterday, but I couldn't. I apologize for the delay" my father stood up and shook his head "It's okay. I understand. Why don't we go to the office and talk about this?" my father said. Michael nodded and left with him, but not before patting my back. Why did he pat my back?
