Li Xi returned to the kitchen and found that he had received a friend request on his phone at some point.
"I'm Jin Kailin, remember me? You took me home yesterday."
He accepted the request and immediately received a new message.
"I really appreciate what you did for me yesterday, and I'd like to take you out for a meal sometime. Are you free today?" followed by a smiley face.
Scratching his head, Li Xi considered his situation; being a cook meant that others' dining times were his busiest. How could he possibly have the time to join someone for a meal? After some calculation, he realized he wouldn't have a day off for another three days, "Not today, how about next Thursday?"
Although he postponed it by three days, at least he had settled on a definite time, and Karen was satisfied with that. It proved he wasn't indecisive and, at least, he seemed to have a fairly good impression of her.
