Xia Lu tiptoed into the office, pulled open the blinds beside her desk, and stretched languidly.
Within minutes, Zhou Mingchen pushed through the door. "Pull the curtains down," he ordered. "It's too glaring."
Xia Lu turned to look at him with a face full of discontent. Ever since she started working in this office, she hardly ever enjoyed the morning sun. When the sunlight was just right, the blinds were always tightly closed; they would only be slightly opened when the sun was about to set. This guy lived like a vampire, as if he would turn to ash at the sight of light. Every time she attempted to open the curtains, she was stopped. She hadn't expected today to be the same.
"Can't I just open my side?" she said. Their desks were far apart, and at the moment, the sunlight could only reach her side; it couldn't even touch the tip of Zhou Mingchen's toe. "We need sunlight, or we'll lack calcium."
"No," Zhou Mingchen said. "That's a fallacy. Pull them down."
