When Chi-Chi saw who she was going to fight, she was afraid. How could she not, with her name next to that of the strangest fighter in the tournament? She felt like she was about to make a fool of herself when she saw the screen announcing the next fighters.
Luci-Fer vs. Chi-Chi. It was that fighter's name that brought so much dread to Chi-Chi. That guy's luck was terrifying! Even Bulma praised him, because luck is also part of a fighter's strength.
If two people had the same strength, the same number of special techniques, the same combat prowess, and similar fighting experience, then metaphysical factors like willpower or luck would decide the final victory.
That's why Chi-Chi was afraid of Luci-Fer; this man only had pure luck on his side. He was weak; his ki barely stood out, and he relied on martial arts that didn't use energy. Yet he had come this far, winning and unharmed.
"Chi-Chi, luck," Goku said, scratching the back of his neck. Even though he didn't know what to say, he simply wished her luck.
"I don't think my luck is up to that guy's level," Chi-Chi complained, barely trying to move forward and delaying the inevitable.
"Hey, Chi-Chi, I have an idea," Bulma suddenly said, making Chi-Chi's heart flutter and giving her a little hope.
"Try not to hurt or harm him," Bulma said, noticing the look in Chi-Chi's eyes. But it only made the young girl sad again.
"How will I win if I don't fight?" asked Chi-Chi, her voice full of anguish.
"It's just an idea of mine, but it's to test the extent of your luck. Who knows how it will work? Going around testing isn't bad, is it? No matter how lucky he is, there must be a limit," Bulma pointed out. But Chi-Chi simply sighed before walking heavily toward the arena.
"Do you think she has a chance?" Yamcha asked. He felt much more relaxed in Bulma's presence after their previous fight.
"I don't know. Luck is an ability we can't control. Is it even something tangible or perceptible? I don't know, but I hope Chi-Chi wins," Bulma answered truthfully. However, there was a hint of wariness inside her.
Abilities related to luck, and thus fate, destiny, or causality, were always among the most terrifying. No matter the universe, when someone used this kind of power, strength was meaningless.
It was scary when a person with good luck was powerful. She could mention a certain Lord White, who fit perfectly in that description. But these powers always operated uniquely.
For example, Lord White himself had a reason to be lucky. But even if you didn't know that, you could try to cope with his incredible luck and use it to your advantage, of course, if you could endure all the misfortune that befell those around him, allies or not.
"Chi-Chi will win," Goku said suddenly, interrupting Bulma's thoughts.
"Why do you say so?" That guy seems to be loved by the goddess of luck herself. It's pretty scary if you think about it," Krillin mentioned, his body trembling slightly with fear.
'Lucky, my fight was against Goku!' Krillin rejoiced internally at the thought because losing to a friend was better than making a fool of himself on TV. After all, he wanted to get married as an adult!
"It's because of Chi-Chi. She tries so hard. Sometimes I see that she can't stand the training, but she's still there with me. She only slackens and rests when I can't train anymore.
How could someone who tries so hard lose to someone who relies only on luck? Even if the goddess of luck is that guy's daughter, Chi-Chi will beat him!" Goku's words made his male teammates look at him with astonishment. Bulma nodded.
'It seems that Goku, without a beaten brain, is much more attentive to detail,' Bulma mused, patting her younger brother on the head as she always had in the past.
"I know Chi-Chi will be happy to hear that, so she'll certainly have a better chance of winning. After all, you believe in her," Bulma said before looking toward the arena. Her blue eyes sparkled with interest as she waited for the next fight to begin.
...
"It seems that young Chi-Chi doesn't want to fight," the presenter said to the two people next to him, making sure beforehand that the microphone wouldn't pick up his voice.
"Anyone would be nervous facing such a peculiar enemy," Roshi answered, keeping his head down to hide the strange look in his eyes.
'Who wants to make a fool of themselves fighting someone who turned a serious fight into an absurd comedy sketch?' Roshi wondered, doing his best not to give away his thoughts.
"No enemy is invincible, no matter how strange or powerful their abilities. Unless you manage to transcend all of existence, there will always be a way to defeat you," Whis said before holding a palm to his face and laughing.
"Sure, that doesn't apply to me, but you have to give others hope. Hohoho!" Whis laughed harder, causing the presenter and Roshi to look at each other, confused.
"Well... Let the fight begin!" The announcer finally announced the start of the fight, and the gong sounded loudly.
What will Chi-Chi be able to do against such an insurmountable foe?
...
"Young lady, you'd better give up. I'm invincible; you can't beat me," said Luci-Fer, who was standing in front of Chi-Chi at that moment. He said these words with a smile on his face.
"You see, I may not be the strongest, but I can fight anyone, even those powerful monsters. I would win," the man said arrogantly, confident that his luck would always help him in whatever he set his mind to.
He did not know when this strange phenomenon had begun, but perhaps it had something to do with his attempted pilgrimage to a remote location. After an accident in which he had kicked a strange, pink, circular rock to the bottom of a chasm, he had felt that his luck had improved incredibly.
Bullets deflected as they approached him. Anyone who tried to hit him tripped and fell to the ground in embarrassing ways. When they tried to evade his attacks, they always ended up getting hit and suffering damage for some reason.
His arrogance grew. With so much luck at his disposal, how could he not win this tournament and enjoy the juicy reward? Winning was his destiny! However, he didn't want to ridicule a young girl in front of the whole world, so he said those words to Chi-Chi.
"I can't just leave like this," Chi-Chi said as she adopted a fighting pose and ran toward Luci-Fer. But halfway there, a strong breeze blew, sweeping a sheet of paper covering her face.
Due to the sudden lack of vision, she stumbled and fell heavily to the ground. Luci-Fer took advantage of this, grabbed the young woman's hand, turned her body several times, and threw her into the distance, looking to knock her out of the ring.
"I told you, young man! It's useless to try to win!" Luci-Fer exclaimed as he watched Chi-Chi's body fly due to his throw.
Chi-Chi didn't want to lose so easily, so her body's aura burst out. This stopped her in midair, and she calmly descended to the ground. Although her face was covered in dust, her eyes, now free of the piece of paper, shone with determination.
Remembering Bulma's advice, Chi-Chi calmed her aura as she did her best to hide her hostility toward Luci-Fer. Even her somewhat crouching posture straightened to show that she was trying to relax.
"Will you give up?" Lucifer was someone who now relied on luck to fight. However, he was and is a fighter, and he could tell that his opponent, the young woman, had given up.
Chi-Chi wanted to say something, but held back her words as she walked slowly toward Luci-Fer. Then, a strange scene occurred.
Insects flew across the sand, attracted by a piece of candy that a fidgety, strong child had thrown onto the battlefield. Instead of landing on Chi-Chi, as one might have expected because of Luci-Fer's good luck, the candy simply fell to the side of her.
A lone cloud began to shed raindrops. Earlier, one might have expected the water to fall on Chi-Chi, but instead, a strong breeze, similar to the one before, blew the cloud away.
Similar phenomena began to occur, as if the world had suddenly abandoned all the insidious tricks it had planned for Chi-Chi if she continued to attack Luci-Fer.
Bulma smiled with satisfaction, having understood the mechanics of Luci-Fer's luck. She was also proud of Chi-Chi for suppressing her hostility to such a degree.
Emotional control is a very complicated thing to achieve! While humans have some natural control over their emotions and can avoid getting carried away, complete suppression is something else entirely.
This is especially true for emotions that could be broadly categorized as negative, such as hostility. Chi-Chi, however, was a witch who had her perception of her soul. Therefore, she achieved this kind of control after giving it some thought.
Of course, she knew it was something she couldn't keep forever. It was natural and vital for the soul to experience emotions. As a novice witch, she knew this. But to fight a person whose luck seemed to affect mostly hostiles, why not use this new ability?
Chi-Chi sensed from Bulma's words that Lucifer's luck was a strange protective measure. This did not prevent her from climbing the arena; that simple act was not hostile or dangerous in itself.
The accident occurred when she tried to reach him and fight him in close combat. Now, she was simply walking towards him, taking slow steps and noticing all the weird things happening around her.
She looked up at the sky and saw a red flash falling directly toward the arena. However, it was intercepted by a flying dinosaur that had casually decided to take a walk at that moment.
Had she continued to fight Luci-Fer, she would have been hit by the meteorite. This frightened Chi-Chi a little, but she controlled her emotions, suppressing them because she did not want fear to make her hostile towards Luci-Fer again.
"Why is this happening?" the man asked, fearful of what was happening and unable to understand why Chi-Chi was now standing in front of him without having suffered any sudden accidents.
"You rely too much on luck. But when you find the trick, luck isn't enough."
Chi-Chi calmly put her hand on the man's chest. Before he could avoid it, all the air was expelled from his lungs. He fell unconscious to the ground.
Just then, the island shook with an earthquake, but the announcer's voice could still be heard.
"The Luci-Fer fighter has been knocked out! The victor of this match is Chi-Chi!" When the announcer said those words, the shaking of the island stopped abruptly. If someone were in the ocean at that moment, they would have seen a huge wave worthy of a tsunami collapse without causing much trouble.
When Chi-Chi returned to her teammates, Goku patted her on the shoulder confidently, his brown tail wagging behind him.
"You knew you'd win!" Goku said to Chi-Chi. At that moment, she felt she didn't need anything else in her life because she was happy.

OMAKE:
In this timeline, Chi-Chi received a Multiversal Chat dedicated solely to witches throughout the omniverse. After winning her fight against Lucifer, she sent a message to the group.
Son_Goku_Lover:I just beat an incredibly lucky guy! [File attachment].
The image was of her making a peace sign with Goku next to her. Goku didn't understand why Chi-Chi was looking at the space before her.
Witch_Without_Magic: How incredible! I just met a new mushroom-loving classmate. (Fireworks emojis).
Steampunk_Witch: Congratulations, and have you thought about sending me some of your friend's tail hair? It looks interesting." (Emoji of a face with a mask).
Diva_Witch: Help! I'm about to confront a cult. How can I avoid making a fool of myself in front of the police accompanying me? [File attachment]
The image showed a young woman with brown skin, green eyes, and a black witch's hat. She was smiling, and next to her was a distracted blonde woman in a police uniform. Although her back was turned, it was visible that she held a warhammer in one of her hands.
I_Hate_You_Merlin: Nice legs. (Devil emojis).
Primarch_Waifu: What a great hammer! (Salivating face emojis.)
Bookworm_Witch: Why isn't anyone mentioning that @Diva_Witch said she would fight a cult?
Steam_Witch: There's a creature that looks like a human with wings in the background. Are you saying it's a fairy? Can you capture it and send it to me?
Witch_Without_Magic: @Steam_Witch No! That's a fairy. How could you think of hurting a fairy?
Chi-Chi watched as the whole conversation quickly degenerated into a discussion about which creatures were cute and which were not, projected on the transparent screen in her eyes.
She saw the nicknames of people who rarely appeared in the chat, such as Dragon_Witch, Scarlett_Witch, and Reverse_Witch, chatting about this strange topic.
'I don't understand why witches and wizards from other universes are so rare,' Chi-Chi thought, looking sideways at Son Goku. She turned red with excitement at the thought of having two children with him, each strong and intelligent.
