However, he can't exert force.
Van Noy's jump is slightly premature, leaving him distanced from the descending parabolic path of the football. Even though his body is fully extended, it's still slightly out of reach—his fingertips can feel the texture of the football's leather.
But he can't control it.
His fingertips graze the surface lightly. Gritting his teeth, Van Noy uses the strength of his middle finger to give a slight nudge, attempting to disrupt the ball's trajectory.
