The familiar place was empty of the familiar figure, and the smiles on Su Ziyan and Xiang Vivi's faces faded considerably.
"Cousin, I have faith in Brother-in-law. I think you should give him a chance to explain."
"Let's eat," Su Ziyan gestured for silence as she saw Mrs. Zhang coming over with the rice pot.
"Miss, where's the young master? Hasn't he woken up yet?" Mrs. Zhang looked around and, not spotting Qin Yu, asked with a curious face.
"There was an urgent performance at the company last night, and Qin Yu went to drop someone off."
"I see? The young master really works too hard," Mrs. Zhang expressed with a sympathetic face.
Without Qin Yu to lighten the mood, the atmosphere at the dinner table was quite somber, and both women had little appetite.
"I'm full. Vivi, have Xue Chen come pick us up."
"Xue Chen probably can't come to pick us up today," Xiang Vivi said, scratching her head apologetically.
"Hmm? Why?" Su Ziyan asked, her face full of curiosity.
