Robbin was pondering what to say next.
Catherine noticed Robbin's hesitation; this guy's character wasn't suited to digging too deeply into certain issues.
So Catherine directly asked, "Chief, what's the alert from the base about? Is there a mission we need to execute?"
"Don't worry, you don't need to do anything for now; it's an anomalous disaster alert."
"Anomalous disaster?"
"Yes, like the incident at San Diego Base. Although the outside world doesn't believe it, and even we can hardly believe it, no matter how we investigate, we've come to only one conclusion: that tragedy was triggered by an abnormal weather disaster."
As Berick was saying this, a staff member with headphones urgently reported: "Target location confirmed, anomalous thunderstorm coordinates, latitude 40°43' north, longitude 74°00' west—it's New York, Chief."
Berick's face changed slightly: "New York!"
The usually composed Berick now seemed to be on edge.
