He could feel that as he delved deeper into the dense forest ahead, the aura of divine power in the air grew increasingly potent.
Around him, the shadows of the elf villages were no longer seen, while occasionally animals' figures would emerge amongst the trees—squirrels, deer, wild boars, and even leopards.
However, they showed no hostility towards Lis and Daphne, merely casting curious glances at the pair.
The two walked on a narrow path through the forest, with green stones laid on the ground. Over countless years, the stone slabs had lost all their sharpness and become smooth and rounded.
A tranquil atmosphere permeated the forest. Despite his curiosity about their destination, Lis did not broach the subject with Daphne.
Strolling on the forest path was quite pleasant; the rich breath of life emanating from within the woods made Lis feel much more at ease.
