Chaz is happily getting ready as he is set to meet someone special today. Well, actually, he can only wear a uniform, nothing more. But still, he styles his hair and puts on an abundant amount of cologne. He tidied up his collar and headed outside, ignoring the deeply asleep Archie.
He just knows that Archie is going to call him later, so he decides to silence it today so it does not disturb the happy mood he is feeling. He has the first lecture with the Trio. The Trio didn't say much, but they got the vibe Chaz is having.
Chaz doesn't smile or anything, but surely something different about him. "Hey, do you feel it?" asked Neil cautiously. "What?" asked Larry cluelessly. Neil is so done with Larry and said, "The vibe! Does he not feel extra today? He must be meeting that kid". Frank doesn't say much but nods his head, agreeing with Neil's statement.
"Well, he wanted to meet his future 'wife'. If he is not 'extra,' you think they want him. But he is already handsome and popular. What more does he need to prepare, actually? Why the hell does he need to use a roundabout way of courting that kid? The kid also must be blind to not realize how attractive this friend of us." Said Larry. That statement really sounds convincing to both Frank and Neil.
Well, that's true. The problem is that it can only happen if Chaz has Larry's knowledge of approaching people. Chaz's friend group doesn't really go outside the Trio. He has more friends, but the Trio is the closest where he spends most of his time. So, given the situation, Chaz has almost no direct human interaction.
The class ended. Chaz got up, packing his things, and just left. 'The class is far, but is that really a reason?' is what the Trio is collectively thinking. He doesn't even bid them goodbye. The Trio just observed this out-of-the-ordinary behavior of Chaz. They can only look at each other, cheering Chaz from afar.
Chaz walks faster than usual to his motorbike; it's all about the happy feeling that he cannot shake from last night. Chaz arrives at the building, hoping to bump into Aven, who is also usually late. He guessed it right. Aven can be seen waiting in front of the sole elevator in the building. Chaz walked toward Aven but said nothing.
He waited for Aven to greet him first. After a few seconds, Aven realizes the figure beside him is Chaz. He happily greets Chaz, "Oh, hello, senior. When did you arrive? It's such a coincidence that we're both waiting for the elevator". Chaz did not say much and said 'yes' nonchalantly, keeping his cold demeanor.
After the elevator door opens, they both get in, like how it usually is, where as each floor progresses, more people come in. Chaz loves the situation they are in, which is a chance to show how attentive he is toward Aven.
Obviously, Aven only feels how kind a person Chaz is and nothing more. Again, to others, they will already feel that Chaz treats Aven differently, but he himself does not realize the meaning of this kind action.
Once they arrive in the class, Chaz sits in the back row while Aven sits in the row in front of him. Aven still does not feel comfortable, given that they have just gotten to know each other. Aven loves to sit alone, as to him it is much more peaceful that way. Chaz is a bit disappointed as he think Aven will sit beside him. If he knows that, he will let Aven get in the class first, then he will sit beside Aven.
The class starts the moment the lecturer gets into the class. This lecturer is very sharp with her time.
The class ended, and as they decided to discuss their assignment, they both went to the public area in the building. They sit and start their discussion, starting on what kind of topic to write, the content, and who will write which part. It really is just a discussion, nothing more, like what Aven hopes it to be.
Chaz, on the other hand, tried his best to be a good senior toward Aven, but he forgot that he needed to flirt with him. Well, he is considered a noob when it comes to love, of course. It was only after the end of the discussion that he realized he needed to do something.
Chaz took out a chocolate from his bag and handed it to Aven. Aven looked up with a visibly confused face at Chaz. "What is this for?" asked Aven. Chaz just used a head and hand gesture to signal Aven to receive it. Aven is confused but still accepts it with an open mind, thinking it might be for the new friendship they had created.
Chaz gave out a little smile, showing the happiness he experienced from that little gesture of Aven receiving something he gave again.
They had discussed, Chaz bravely asking, "Want to grab lunch?" Aven looked at his watch before answering. He hesitated a bit before replying, "I am sorry. There is something that I need to do. Maybe next time?"
Chaz is disappointed again, but nothing he can do either. Aven looked in a hurry after saying sorry to Chaz. Chaz feels guilty to hold him any longer. Aven packed his things and left. He gives a polite goodbye to Chaz before leaving.
Chaz feels that his world might collapse. He wanted to court Aven, but Aven seems not to realize all the kind gestures he made. Well, it's only been a couple of weeks since they got to know each other.
Chaz might like Aven and tried to chase him, but given that he is in the third year of his degree life where things seem much more hectic, added to the fact that he is the football captain, life is not easy for sure. He himself is too busy to catch a breath between those schedules.
More than that Aven is business student while he engineering student. Their faculty is far apart for Chaz to have a 'fateful' encounter with Aven.
