Briar chuckled faintly, upon sensing the hot gaze her mother-in-law had on her, but pretended like she wasn't seeing it.
The two finally reached the restaurant which Madam Meyer had chosen and were taken to a private room where several dishes were served.
While eating the meal, Briar raised a topic from nowhere but managed to pique her mother-in-law's interest.
"Mother, umm …. Me and Logan have decided to have a child!" she revealed the matter with a shy expression, looking a bit nervous though as she looked at Madam Meyer.
Madam Meyer, who had pushed the matter of children to the side earlier, dropped her fork with shock in her eyes which nearly frightened Briar, who outwardly looked as if she had spoken something that had offended her mother-in-law.
