Robin leaned in for another kiss, holding him tightly. Although she missed the rest of the crew as well, when she was captured and forced to work as a slave, all she could think of was Coby. "How did you find me? Did you visit Nami?"
Coby shook his head, a slight grin playing on his lips. "Kuma told me where he sent everyone," he said casually, though he hated lying his girls and best of friends. But his past life and the cheat system he had were secrets he wasn't ready to share. Besides, with Kuma turned into a mindless weapon by Vegapunk, there was no way anyone could call him out on the lie. He added quickly, "Nami's in a place I can't reach easily, but I plan to return to Skypiea to retrieve the ship and find her later."
Robin nodded thoughtfully, accepting his explanation without hesitation. "That's a smart move. We all need the time to train," she said. Her gaze softened as she looked at Coby. "We've grown a lot, but there's always more to learn."
Coby chuckled, leaning back slightly as he pulled Robin onto his lap. "Exactly. Train with the Revolutionaries, learn Rokushiki and Haki—I already taught you the basics, but practice is where you'll really grow," he said with a confident grin. His arms wrapped around her waist, keeping her close.
Robin shifted comfortably in his lap, her fingers tracing light patterns on his chest. "You think two years will be enough?" she asked softly, her tone almost playful.
"For you? Definitely," Coby replied, smirking. "Plus, I'll be traveling all over, recording more locations and getting stronger myself. I've got plenty of tricks up my sleeve, and by the time we all meet again, we'll be ready for anything."
Robin's lips curved into a smile as she nestled against him, her trust in him clear. "I trust you, Coby," she said softly, closing her eyes as they shared a quiet moment. The ship swayed gently beneath them, the sounds of the crew working above them fading into the background.
The ship soon arrived at Baltigo, the mysterious white island, known to be the Revolutionaries' headquarters. As the crew docked, Coby stepped onto the solid ground with Robin beside him, her hand resting casually in his.
A figure waited for them at the dock, his blonde hair slightly tousled, and a pipe resting against his shoulder. Coby recognized him instantly but kept his expression neutral.
"Welcome to Baltigo, home of the Revolutionaries," the man greeted them, his voice even, though there was an unmistakable hint of sorrow behind his words.
Coby nodded, acknowledging the man without revealing any familiarity. "Thanks. I'm Coby, and this is Robin." He flashed a casual grin, his arm slipping around Robin's waist as he spoke.
The blonde man's eyes flickered briefly at Coby's introduction, but he said nothing about it. Instead, he turned, gesturing for them to follow him deeper into the island. "Dragon-san will want to see you both. He's been expecting you to arrive."
As they walked, Coby couldn't help but glance at the man. 'He must have regained his memories by now,' Coby thought. 'He knows about Ace.'
Baltigo, with its stark white terrain, stretched out before Coby and Robin as they followed their guide. At the heart of the island, a giant stone formation loomed, housing the Revolutionaries' headquarters—a massive castle carved into its center. Simple lodgings surrounded the stone, blending into the desolate environment.
Sabo led them through a maze of narrow corridors within the castle. t wasn't long before they arrived at a large room. Inside, a man with a tattoo on right side of his face, sat at a desk, casually reading through a stack of reports.
As Coby and Robin entered, the man rose from his chair.
"Dragon-san," Coby greeted.
Dragon's sharp eyes assessed the two newcomers. "Coby the Copy Ninja, Nico Robin," he acknowledged.
Two were crewmates of his son, and Robin was crucial in discovering the Void Century. Dragon's eyes lingered on her for a moment before turning back to Coby.
Coby sat down, keeping his posture relaxed. "As you probably know, Kuma sent our crew all over the world to save us from Kizaru's onslaught."
Dragon nodded slightly, his face betraying no surprise. Information was his bread and butter.
Coby continued, "Kuma told me he wouldn't be able to think for himself after that day. Vegapunk was turning him into a mindless weapon. But before that, he told me he would send Luffy to Impel Down so he could get close to Ace, and that Ivankov was also imprisoned there. I infiltrated Impel Down and, as you know, helped Luffy and Ivankov escape before joining the war at Marineford."
Dragon already heard a similar report from Ivankov, so he nodded. Sabo, on the other hand, hearing the names of Ace and Luffy, clenched his fist. Dragon eyed Coby with a neutral expression, but his curiosity was clear. "Why did you come here, Coby?" he asked.
Coby leaned back in his chair, a grin spreading across his face. "As you already know, my title is 'Coby the Copy Ninja.' I can copy abilities. I copied Kuma's powers, which allows me to transport instantly. As for my visit—" he glanced at Robin with a playful smirk, "—Robin's my girl. I'll be coming here regularly to see her if she decides to stay. But beyond that, I assure you I have no intention against your cause. I am simply a pirate and have no interest in revealing your land or joining your cause."
Dragon nodded. He had seen the broadcast of the war, and through it all, Coby was there—fighting to protect his son. Coby, a Vice-Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, clearly had his loyalty aligned with Luffy. Robin's silence on Coby's earlier claim of her being his girl only further confirmed Dragon's assessment that Coby had no hidden intentions. Still, the risks were obvious—Coby, having copied Kuma's powers, could theoretically send thousands of enemies to their doorstep if he wished.
Dragon weighed the risks carefully but spoke with a calm certainty, "That's fine by me."
Coby grinned, appreciating Dragon's trust. "Thanks, Dragon-san. I know it's a bit unorthodox, but I assure you I have no interest in revealing Baltigo's location to anyone." He paused, glancing at Robin with a playful smirk before continuing, "I just want to make sure I can visit her whenever I want."
Robin chuckled quietly, clearly amused by Coby's laid-back confidence, while Sabo, standing in the background, observed with his arms crossed.
Coby stood up, pulling Robin to her feet with ease. "Well, since that's settled, I'll take my leave," he said. Turning to Dragon, he asked, "Can someone show her to her room?"
Dragon nodded, gesturing to one of the Revolutionaries nearby. The man stepped forward without a word, prepared to lead Robin through the winding halls of Baltigo. Coby didn't acknowledge Sabo, since the man didn't reveal his bond to Luffy.
The moment they reached her room, he pulled her close, his hands gripping her waist firmly. Pressing her back against the wall, he leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear. "I'll miss you, but I've got to go for now," he whispered, his voice low.
He kissed her softly at first, but his lips soon traveled down her neck, lingering for a moment before pulling back just enough to meet her eyes again. Robin's breath hitched slightly, but she said nothing, her hand resting on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart. "Be careful."
Coby grinned and kissed Robin on the lips one last time before leaping out the window. "I always am," he called over his shoulder with a cheeky smile. As he landed, without hesitation, he activated Kuma's powers, vanishing in an instant.
