Chapter 212 - Plan!

Hey!

It is getting harder and harder for me to come here and publish chapters lately. I decided to unlock all my chapters on my Patreon, and you can freely read them. Thanks for the long support, and all the best. Hopefully see you again.

So long.

-Edit: I cannot make R-18 chapters free. Patreon blocks them as you have to sign up for them. I created 1 dollar tier (lowest I can go) if you must read them. They are pure smut so you won't miss anything.

The room fell silent. Even Trebol's usual fidgeting stilled as the weight of the news settled in.

"Admirals?" Diamante repeated, his voice tight.

"Fujitora and Kizaru," Coby confirmed. He gestured at them with a slight wave of his hand. "I don't need to explain what that means. If they're coming here, they aren't just sightseeing."

The group exchanged uneasy glances. Trebol spoke up, his voice oily. "What's the plan, Young Master?"

Coby stood among the gathered crew. "Sugar, turn them into toys. Then I'll take you somewhere safe. You'll hide there," he said plainly. He leaned toward Sugar and whispered, "Command them to listen only to me. I don't want them doing anything stupid."

Sugar gave a quick nod and began her work. Coby watched carefully, studying the process with keen interest. As Sugar's powers activated, Pica was the first to transform. The towering giant turned into a small toy stone golem. The next was Trebol, who became a sticky, slug-like toy figure with an exaggerated nose. Diamante followed, reduced to a toy soldier with a crooked lance.

Among all, Sugar's ability intrigued Coby for two reasons. First, it was ridiculously powerful. Second, he wondered if he'd forget the transformed toys despite his unique existence. As Sugar continued, Coby focused, testing his memory. When Pica turned into a small stone golem, his recent memories of the man disappeared entirely. The same happened with Trebol, now a sticky slug-like toy, and Diamante, now a toy soldier with a crooked lance. The only reason Coby noticed was thanks to his dual memories. Without those, the effect would've been seamless.

Sugar moved quickly. Gladius turned into a spiked ball toy with two little legs, Senor Pink became a waddling penguin figurine, and Baby 5 transformed into a miniature toy cannon. Buffalo became a spinning top, and Machvise turned into a weight-shaped toy with stubby limbs.

Coby observed with a slight smirk, noting the absurdity of their new forms. He gestured for Sugar to finish with the rest. The remaining Donquixote executives were transformed into similarly harmless toys, standing wide-eyed and lifelessly obedient.

When the process was complete, Sugar looked up at Coby, her expression neutral. "All done."

Coby held his head, imitating Doflamingo. "This ability is too weird. I remember what we spoke about, but who we were talking to? Can't remember a thing."

Sugar giggled. "My ability works like that, Young Master."

Coby nodded. After he and Sugar donned clothes to mask their identities, they left the castle with the toys trailing silently behind. The group moved through the city without drawing attention, eventually arriving at an underground chamber where the slave toys toiled away, connected to Arena. Coby opened the heavy doors and motioned for them to enter.

"Stay here and wait for my mark," he said plainly. The toys and Sugar nodded obediently before he locked the chamber behind them.

Once clear, Coby transformed back into his own appearance while sprouting a clone using Robin's Devil Fruit powers. The clone maintained Doflamingo's visage and returned to the castle to oversee the tournament. Coby adjusted his disguise to create an entirely new alias and headed toward the colosseum.

Dressrosa remained vital for several reasons. Although Doflamingo was out of the picture, Coby had no intention of discarding the events that would lead to the formation of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. The tournament and its chaotic aftermath were essential.

At the colosseum's entrance, the bustling crowd was loud and lively. Fighters poured in from all over the world, each looking to claim the grand prize: the Mera Mera no Mi. Coby, blending seamlessly into the crowd with his alias, registered quickly and moved into the holding area, scanning the contestants.

Several notable figures caught his attention, including Burgess from Blackbeard's crew and Cavendish, the vain swordsman with a reputation for unpredictable violence. In the corner, Bartolomeo was mumbling excitedly about Luffy, much to the annoyance of nearby fighters. Coby smirked faintly and walked past, avoiding drawing unnecessary attention to himself.

The announcement of the first round came quickly. Groups of fighters were ushered into the arena, separated by blocks. Coby was placed in Block B. He stepped into the arena, sword sheathed, casually taking in the layout. The other fighters eyed each other warily, a few glaring at him.

Coby entered the coliseum under the alias "Lucy," paying homage to the original timeline's events where Luffy had taken the same disguise. Wearing a simple gladiator's helmet and a cloak to conceal his identity, he made his way to the registration desk. The attendant glanced at him, raised an eyebrow, and handed him his number.

"Welcome, Lucy," the attendant said curtly, motioning for him to proceed.

Coby joined the group of fighters assigned to his block. Among them were the familiar faces of Sai, the grandson of Chinjao, and his ally Boo. Hajrudin, the towering giant, stood silently, while the Funk brothers, Bobby and Kelly, argued loudly nearby. Jean Ango casually sharpened his weapons, and Ucy, the bull-like fighter, pawed the ground impatiently.

Ideo, the long-armed martial artist, cracked his knuckles, his eyes scanning the competition. In the midst of the chaos, Coby leaned casually against a wall, his demeanor relaxed as he observed the group.

The announcement boomed overhead. "Fighters of Block C, prepare for battle! The winner advances to the finals for the grand prize: the legendary Mera Mera no Mi!"

Cheers erupted from the stands as the fighters were ushered into the arena. The sunlight bathed the coliseum floor, and the audience roared in excitement. Coby adjusted his helmet, stepping into the sand. Around him, the other fighters took their positions.

The announcer's voice echoed. "Let the battle begin!"

The gong rang out, and chaos erupted instantly. Hajrudin roared, his massive fists smashing down on a group of smaller fighters, sending them flying into the stands. Sai moved with precision, his martial arts skills taking down opponents with swift, decisive blows. Boo stayed close to his brother, covering his flank.

Coby sidestepped a rushing opponent, tripping him effortlessly before driving his fist into the next attacker's gut. He spun, delivering a Crescent Fang air blade that knocked two more fighters out of the arena. The crowd cheered wildly.

Jean Ango targeted Hajrudin, throwing a barrage of knives, but the giant's thick skin deflected most of the attacks. Ideo leapt into the fray, his elongated arms delivering powerful punches that echoed through the coliseum. Meanwhile, Ucy charged forward, goring an unlucky fighter with his horns.

The Funk Brothers tried to merge into their "Bobby Funk Transformation" but were interrupted by Sai, who slammed Kelly Funk into the ground with a devastating kick.

Coby moved fluidly through the chaos, dispatching opponents with ease. One fighter swung a heavy mace at him, but Coby ducked and retaliated with a sharp upward slash from Shusui, sending the weapon flying. He leapt forward, delivering a quick Shigan to knock the fighter unconscious.

Hajrudin, after clearing his immediate vicinity, turned his attention toward Coby. The giant stomped forward, raising his fist high. "You're strong, little man. Let's see how you handle this!"

Coby smirked, stepping back to let Hajrudin's punch crash into the sand. The impact shook the arena, but Coby was already in motion, darting forward with Shadow Step. He appeared behind Hajrudin and unleashed a Razor Gale Edge, the wind blade slashing across the giant's shoulder. Hajrudin stumbled, clutching the wound, but remained standing.

Sai took advantage of the moment, charging at Hajrudin and landing a powerful drill kick to his midsection. The giant groaned, collapsing to one knee.

Jean Ango, sensing an opportunity, threw a hail of knives toward Sai and Coby. Coby deflected them with a quick swipe of Shusui, while Sai dodged effortlessly, retaliating with a quick strike that sent Ango flying into the stands.

As the chaos thinned, only a handful of fighters remained: Coby, Sai, Boo, Hajrudin, Ideo, and Ucy.

The announcer's voice boomed. "Block C is heating up! Who will emerge victorious?"

From the chaos, an imposing figure emerged. Chinjao, his massive frame and pointed head unmistakable, strode into the fray. His presence sent a wave of unease through the remaining fighters. His eyes immediately locked onto Coby, narrowing in recognition.

"You!" Chinjao bellowed, his voice like a thunderclap. "Coby! The Straw Hat's first mate!" He jabbed a finger toward Coby, his rage palpable. "I'll crush you here, and then I'll deal with your captain!"

Coby cocked his head, clearly unimpressed. "Oh, you know me. That's cute. What's the plan, old man? Headbutt me to death?"
