I activated all of my of skills at once, obliterating the tertian beneath me as an explosion erupted.
As the dust and debris settled, I saw countless pieces of sandworms scattered across the sand. The torn remains of many worms lay on the ground, dripping green blood that soaked into the sand below.

Barely a second had passed before the sand below began to shift. A large number of sandworms, likely in the hundreds, emerged onto the surface.
Oddly enough, they started devouring their dead brethren. Curious, I paused, refraining from attacking the sandworms below.
In mere seconds, all the remnants of the dead sandworms were consumed. One thing I noticed was that the sandworms varied greatly in size. Some of these crawling monsters were over 100 meters long.
After feeding, the sandworms disappeared into the sand again. One main reason I wasn't attacking them all was to avoid accidentally killing the boss monster.
