And so the coffee, sip by sip, slowly disappeared from our paper cups. Yuki and I parted before lunch, because we both have our plans, although usually we spend the weekend together. Today is also one of these days when instead of her, it's me who goes out with someone.
I and Hoshi are visiting our favourite café at 7, and by that time I need to clean up my whole apartment, study and do some grocery shopping. Actually, I think Yuki does the same. Maybe we should video call haha.
"My daily life is actually really boring and pretty much the same, yet somehow I can still find the beauty in it. I can appreciate the ordinary" I think to myself, as I'm smiling inside, calmly observing the car lights passing my window. I'm sitting in a bus to meet with Hoshi, my senses drowning in my vicinity. I do not often visit the city at night, when the roads in Tokyo center are truly busy. There are colours of bright green and red darting behind my foggy window, sounds of motorcycles, cars and honking resounding from the night outside. The time on my silver watch says 18:47, which means being stuck at the traffic lights doesn't have to bother me, since I know Hoshi is not gonna come earlier than right on time at 19:00 sharp. He has this weird habit of always showing up RIGHT on the time. It is a little odd, yet the way he must have it calculated is impressive.
As long as he doesn't come late, I don't mind it.
The bus stops at my stop, and I, again, have to go to the freezing weather that rules in this month. I immediately shiver as the ice cold wind mercilessly hits my uncovered face. I bury my head into the white, frizzy scarf of mine, my nose red, and runny from the coldness. I quickly walk to our favoured Café that is fortunately just around the corner.
The time says 18: 56 as I walk up the stairs that lead to the always empty dance studio, from where I enter the Café.
"Hello" I come to the waiter, who is currently chilling behind the cash register.
"Hello, the usual?" The dark brown haired waiter asks.
"No, I think I'll get something else today" I answer.
"Where is Hoshi?" He asks. The waiter's name is Daehyun, but don't worry, it's not THAT Daehyun - Takamori's bestie. This Daehyun is actually a very good friend of Hoshi's.
"We agreed to meet up at seven" I say and a smile that I can't hold back forms on my face. Daehyun gives me a knowing look. "So he's gonna show up right on time, right?" He smiles. So Hoshi indeed does this everytime. "It's 18:59! Let's see if he's on time" I nod my head towards the entrance. We silently wait, tensefuly observing. 3… 2…1… It's 14:00. Hoshi enters. I and Daehyun can't hold back, but laugh at Hoshi's predictability. He shoots us a frowned, confused look, as we remain laughing. "Hoshi" I pant as I can't stop giggling. "Y-you're two seconds late" I laugh even more and Daehyun's already almost crying.
Hoshi shoots us another glare "Really?" He says. I and Daehyun look at each other for the last time, and we put ourselves together.
"So what is it gonna be guys?" Daehyun leans against the counter of his, and asks.
"I'm gonna go with a cappuccino and this seasonal dessert" I say, craving a delicious looking dessert in front of me.
"I'll do espresso and this chocolate cake" says Hoshi. Daehyun takes our order, and we sit down on our favourite spot in the corner, with an astonishing view of the night Tokyo.
