Acantha saw the duke, who was now waiting for her at the dining room, and she noticed that he looked like he didn't get much sleep last night after what they talked.
"Are you alright, Father?" Acantha said as she tried to get the duke's attention, who seemed to be lost in his own thoughts.
The duke just nodded at her as an answer, as he seems to be still looking at what was on his plate. She just sighed, as she knew the revelations last night seemed to shock him, knowing that the friend he was with might be a fraud.
After they finished eating their breakfast, her father went to his room after he excused himself. She looked at his back while he was walking.
Acantha left the dining room to go where Mildred was staying. She knew that even if she healed, her body still needed some rest after all those beatings she got from Evander, and who knows if his father was also beating Mildred.
